A Tale of Two Cities

The French have elected Nicolas Sarkozy to be their President. They have entrusted their country to a man from the political tradition that pioneered the importation of cheap labour from Africa and Asia.

Only 11% of them voted for Jean-Marie Le Pen. His Front National is an old-fashioned Poujadist party that is still defending the empire. Their vision is pre- Gaulist and in urgent need of modernization but their hearts are in the right place. The FN has fought non-European immigration for over thirty years and they can trace their roots back to Charles Maurras’ Action Francaise and the epic street battles of the Thirties. They are slowly updating their policies; they have stopped campaigning against the euro and their MEPs are now working with the ITS bloc to develop reformist policies within the EU.

All is not lost; 11% is a solid foundation on which to build. The FN control local authorities all over France and they are a mass movement with impressive communications. Their publications are well produced and their website is excellent. Le Pen has done his best but he can’t go on forever and a younger leader might have greater appeal.

The United Kingdom has also been to the polls. Half of the participating Scottish electorate voted for a party that calls itself nationalist but welcomes Afro-Asian immigrants, like their new MSP Bashir Ahmed. The Welsh have also flirted with separatism but not so boldly as their Celtic cousins north of the border. They too can boast an Asian Plaid Cymru AM, Mohammed Asghar, who spouts multiracist propaganda, but not in Welsh.

The English have divided into Tory Southerners and Labour Northerners. The gritty, beer-swilling North has gone for Gordon Brown who believes in more Afro-Asian immigration. But the soft, Chianti-sipping South has opted for Dave Cameron who believes in more Afro-Asian immigration. A visitor from Mars might not understand the subtle difference between these two great leaders.

The BNP’s moderate stance did not result in a breakthrough this time but they increased their council representation by two seats. They remain the biggest anti-immigration party in the UK. Like their French counterparts in the FN they lack a credible political philosophy but they are keeping the Old Gang on their toes. When Charles Dickens wrote “A Tale of Two Cities” it was only the future of monarchy that was at stake; now it’s the very existence of Europe.

Money Makes The World Go Round

There is a tendency on the part of political idealists to waffle about economics.  The reality is that the population of the world can only be fed and looked after by capitalism. Affordable food from all over the world on the supermarket shelves is a logical evolution of commerce and a triumph of agriculture and marketing.

The idealists would have the local butcher selling meat from a local farmer, fed on grass from a field next to the village green. Some distributists even talk about giving everyone an acre and a cow. But the farmer and the butcher would both go bankrupt, the customer would go hungry, and where would residents of an inner city tower block keep a cow?

The Social Credit movement would simply print enough money for everyone to live on but they never explained how we would pay for imported gas and oil with worthless assignats backed by nothing more than good intentions.

The co-operative system was tried in Israel for years but today the experiment has largely been abandoned. The kibutzniks were refugees from persecution who were inspired by Zionism and desperate to succeed. But times have changed and today the average Israeli shops in the supermarket for internationally produced goods just like consumers in Europe.

There is no substitute for capitalism driven by profit. The Russians tried for eighty years to construct an alternative economic system but eventually returned to a market economy. Capitalism doesn’t have to be unfair; it can be an honest exchange of goods for money that benefits both parties. It is the responsibility of national governments to enforce fair trade.

Money is just a means of exchange. We have gone beyond trading a bale of hay for a horseshoe or a basket of apples for a pint of ale. The confusion in a busy pub would be unacceptable. We have got to have capitalism that uses money issued by banks. And just as there is nothing inherently evil about capitalism, or money, there is nothing wrong with banks. They are merely shops that buy and sell credit, and just like the butcher and the baker they do it for a profit.

Before the National Socialists came to power in Germany they talked a lot about dismantling the great corporations and nationalizing industry. But when the war started they soon dropped their Strasserite theories and resurrected Krupps, Daimler-Benz, IG Faben and Deutsche Bank. Fantasy gave way to reality.

There is nothing wrong with capitalism that a representative government with a social conscience cannot put right.  At present the global capitalists ignore governments but there is no reason why we shouldn’t bring them back into line.

Money really does make the world go round.

Revealed: how the far-Right targets suburbs by stealth

Andrew Gilligan writing in the London Evening Standard (23-04-07) did a pre-election hatchet job on the BNP. He wrote: “And even in areas where they are elected BNP candidates’ performance is often lamentable. Many have criminal records, giving new meaning to the term conviction politics; the chances of their appealing to middle England remain quite limited. At least as worrying, perhaps, is the growth of another political species: former members of the far-Right who are re-entering politics under new, respectable and community friendly banners that middle-class voters might support.”

He then turned his attention to Ian Anderson the leader of the Epping Forest Community Action Group. He is a former NF activists and chairman of the National Democrats who produces a paper called The Flag. Tory leader of the Epping Forest District Council, Di Collins, describes him as an extreme right candidate and appealed to the people of Epping to: “vote for hope not hate”.

In a 1997 election leaflet Ian Anderson wrote: “We believe it will never be possible for the large non-white population currently resident in Britain to retain their culture and identity and to live harmoniously with the white population. Their presence, through no fault of their own, is detrimental to the unity and cohesion of the nation and threatens our traditions and way of life.”

Gilligan moved on to west London where former National Front activist Phil Andrews runs the Isleworth Community Group. He once served a six months sentence for fighting with a black policeman. The ICG’s six councilors run the council in coalition with the Tories and Councilor Phil Andrews is in charge of community safety.

Gilligan concluded with an attack on the Third Way group who have been campaigning on local issues in the east London borough of Havering for many years. Their leader Graham Williamson is yet another ex-National Front senior member who has gravitated towards community politics.

The BNP are bound to have a few duds amongst their 800 candidates, but they will also have some very good councilors who will establish themselves with the electorate and build a tradition of voting just as the Old Gang did. Independents and smaller groups can also play their part - many of them in areas where the BNP has got a limited following or where people will vote for a particular individual or party but not necessarily for the BNP.

These tactics are working. Candidates should fight on local issues and successful councilors must serve the community but always with the ultimate goal of reversing non-European colonization, starting with the deportation of criminals, illegal immigrants, bogus asylum seekers and dole scroungers.

European Consciousness

Ten years of unremitting Labour propaganda have produced a generation with no sense of identity. Britain has been undermined by devolution and the rise of petty nationalism. Britons have been brainwashed into believing that we are an immigrant nation and that the Third World invasion is just another wave of incomers like the Anglo Saxons and the Vikings. The Blair generation doesn’t know that our little island nations together conquered half the world and many of them think that the non-Europeans in the UK were brought here as slaves.

The liberal death-wish media has promoted alien culture so successfully that our youngsters are hero-worshipping pimps and gangsters and glorifying drugs and violence. Immigrant and British kids are mugging old ladies to get money for drugs. They have been brought up to believe that the world owes them a living by perverse schoolteachers who have discarded commonsense in pursuit of egalitarianism. In the insane world of multiculturalism there are no such things as good and bad, first and last or black and white; everything is equal.

A survey of 3,000 adults conducted by UKTV has revealed a shocking ignorance of Britain. Adrian Wills, head of the History Channel said: “This research reveals just how little we actually know about Britain, from traditions and places of interest to geographical landmarks.” (Metro 30-04-07)

Those who cherish our heritage face the daunting task of educating an ignorant and brainwashed population without falling foul of repressive legislation. We can stress that it was Europe that gave the world most of its art and science. But first we must acknowledge that we are Europeans. UKIP and the BNP have made spiteful and divisive attacks on Polish workers and some of their xenophobic supporters don’t know the difference between black and white.

Labour’s much-shuffled minister Jack Straw has stated that nationality is not about “Blood and Soil.” But that’s exactly what it is - an organic ethnic consciousness that is not dependent on passports or naturalization papers. After 300 years of British political union the four constituent nations the UK are still manifestly English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh. And after 50 years of European Union the founding nations retain their distinctive identities. Nationality transcends political arrangements but it cannot survive being overwhelmed by unlimited numbers of resolutely separatist racial aliens.

Experimental education is being replaced by responsible teaching. The loony left produced a workforce so badly equipped to serve industry that even the Labour Party was forced to reconsider its education policy. Modern Britain needs literate and numerate youngsters with multiple skills. Knowledge of Black Studies or Gangsta Rap will not equip them to compete with properly educated students from the booming economies of Asia.

But as well as education our kids need motivation. This must start with self-respect based on the knowledge of who they are and where they come from.

Our second rate schoolteachers will not teach objective history or instill pride in race and nation. Tony Blair’s promise of education, education, education turned out to mean indoctrination, indoctrination, indoctrination. Now the system is collapsing and West Indian parents are sending their children back home to be educated. The multiracist experiment has been a disaster that has resulted in guns and knives in the playground. Now we must fight back and demand a return to decent standards and teachers who are fit to teach.

A Warning From History

It’s thirty-four years this month since Martin Webster achieved 16% for the National Front in the 1973 West Bromwich by-election. This was an exceptional result for a far right candidate and it paved the way for the National Front’s impressive performance in the 1974 general election.

Martin Walker wrote:

It was precisely the breakthrough the NF had needed; the publicity they received, and the aura of success and growth which now surrounded them, paid off handsomely in the local elections of 7^th June. The vote rose dramatically – but so intense was the attention of the media in the wake of West Bromwich that the NF grew alarmed. “We were depicted as having election targets which we knew we could never reach.” Spearhead complained, “just so it could be publicized as a failure and a defeat.”

Whatever targets the NF may have had, and whatever the press may have attributed to them, their results in the June elections were by far the best they had ever achieved.

Six years later Margaret Thatcher won her landslide election victory and the National Front were eclipsed. The BNP are now in a good position to influence the government and stop the madness of importing cheap labour and exporting British jobs. Let’s hope that they have learned from the mistakes of the past and can take advantage of recent development across the English Channel.

The new French President has stolen Jean-Marie Le Pen’s clothes in order to get elected. He is an Old Gang politician who believes in multiracism but if he wants to stay in power he will have to apply immigration controls. This will establish a precedent that can be followed by Britain and all the afflicted states of Europe.

No doubt they will present their new policy as a means to ensure racial harmony. They will still denounce the far right and preach democracy and talk about protecting those immigrants who are already here who are making such a vital contribution to our economy. No matter, so long as they listen to the people and stop our continent from being overrun with Third World economic refugees.

The Next Step

The local election results have rocked the political establishment. The BNP increased its representation to over fifty council seats in London, the Midlands, the North West and Yorkshire in spite of blatantly hostile media coverage. And the anti-immigration England First Party won their first two seats in Blackburn, although at least one of the successful EFP candidates appears to be of mixed race. The BNP voters in Barking and Dagenham are following the old nationalist tradition of East London and are not frightened of being called fascist or racist. At last the years of campaigning have been rewarded. The next step will be to get Richard Barnbrook elected as MP for Barking and show Margaret Hodge and the old gang that their days are numbered.

                                                                                                                                       

Some kind of European federation has been on the cards since 1942 when Europaische Wintschaftgemeingshcaft was proclaimed in Berlin. The exact degree of unification is debatable but the concept of solidarity is generally accepted. It is not Europe’s fault that we are sinking under the tide of Third World economic refugees. It has been British and American policy since the last war to import cheap labour and influence countries like Canada and Australia to do the same. The established European parties are as gutless as our own and go along with the Anglo-American multiracial agenda. But now the American people are reacting to their own country being overwhelmed by millions of Central American immigrants.

The problems of immigration and asylum are worldwide. The Front National in France, the NDP in Germany, la Falange in Spain and similar movements throughout the world are fighting the same battle. The success of any one euro-nationalist movement will trigger a rise of white consciousness that will help and encourage all the others; and once established in one country it will be very difficult for the establishment dictators to ban or restrict resistance in the rest of the world. The riots in Britain and France, and the massive demonstrations in America show that the multi-cultural experiment has failed, and electoral successes show that we now have a real chance. The tide has turned and we are at last on the way to recovering our ancient rights and liberties.

Restoring Europe to ethnic normality will be enormous task requiring great diplomatic and logistic expertise as well as total determination. By linking foreign aid and trade agreements to repatriation Europe can reach an understanding with the Third World.  Africa is a comparatively empty continent with plenty of space to resettle millions of economic refugees. With technical and financial support a ‘rainbow state’ like South Africa could easily double its population and benefit from the undoubted economic impetus of mass migration.

Views On The News                                                                                               

Most far right commentators have condemned the European Court’s decision that Sarah Richards can draw her pension at 60, after having a sex change operation in 2001. They see transsexuals and homosexuals as part of the great plot against civilization and seek to introduce harsh measures to limit their activities. They must know that every culture, in every age, has had sexually nonconformist minorities and that no amount of persecution will change human nature. In a perfect world every boy would fall in love with the girl next door, get married, have four healthy kids and live happily ever after. But life doesn’t always follow the script and people do not always behave according to the rules. It is unkind and unfair to punish people for their sexuality; it is no more a matter of choice than being musical or left handed.

UKIP, the anti-European party, are claiming to have a full set of policies. In the Thirties the fight was against unemployment and the threat of war. In the Forties nationalists were either behind bars or in uniform. In the Fifties the first wave of alien immigrants began arriving and we were there to protest. In the Sixties we fought against the betrayal of Rhodesia. In the Seventies the big issue was Enoch Powell’s stand against immigration.

The Eighties belonged to Margaret Thatcher who came to power, and sunk the National Front, with a false promise to control immigration. Her reign ended in the economic collapse of the Nineties that eventually brought Tony Blair to power. Immigration had continued unchecked through all these years but during Blair’s regime it spiraled out of control. UKIP did not fight for Mosley at Olympia and they were not detained under 18B.

They did not fight at Kensington Town Hall, or Trafalgar Square, or Balls Pond Road. They did not support Enoch Powell or march with the NF. They have suddenly appeared from nowhere waving their little flags and denouncing racism. These people are not nationalists and they do not stand for race and nation. They are a bunch of disgruntled Tory misfits with small minds and defective vision.

Nick Griffin’s attack on ‘corporatism’ in the April issue of ‘Identity’ compared the Labour Government’s relationship to big business with Benito Mussolini’s regime. There are similarities, just as there are with President Roosevelt’s New Deal. The difference is that Il Duce and Roosevelt had to overcome a worldwide recession and mass unemployment. Tony Blair inherited a sound economy driven by an international recovery from recession. No government, of whatever persuasion, can isolate itself from the great corporations that have the resources and expertise to succeed in the modern world. If we want computers, satellite technology, nuclear engineering and all the latest advances in medicine, we must form partnerships with the people who can design and build these systems. The policy of economic independence has been redundant since 1914. The idea of a self-sufficient Britain living in splendid isolation is an unattainable fantasy in a world dominated by rising population and diminishing natural resources. Our survival depends on ethnic solidarity and good government. Capitalism is not an enemy if it is socially responsible and accountable. Science at the service of public and private capital will yet save mankind from its own folly.

Great Nationalist Women                                                                                                              

One of the most remarkable characters of the early nationalist movement was Valerie Arkell Smith, a mother of two children who shocked society in the Twenties and Thirties by dressing as a man and defying convention. History records that she was a reckless woman who served time in prison for deception, but her comrades remembered her as a fearless patriot who stood for Britain for the British.

Valerie Barker was born on the island of Jersey in 1895. She was a tomboy who enjoyed horse riding and tree climbing; she joined the forces as soon as war was declared in 1914. In 1918 she married Harold Arkell-Smith an Australian officer but the marriage soon ended and she began a relationship with another Australian Ernest Pearce-Crouch who fathered her two children, a boy and a girl. They farmed in Sussex until 1923 when Valerie left her common-law husband to assume the name of Sir Victor Barker Bart DSO and move into the Grand Hotel in Brighton with Elfrida Haward. They were ‘married’ at St Peter’s Church in Brighton in 1932.

In 1924 Valerie joined the National Fascisti. In the turbulent, revolutionary years following the First World War the fascist movements were engaged in violent street fighting with gangs of communists. Most of their meetings were attacked by the Reds who were trying to stop the fascists from seizing power as they had in Italy in 1922. Valerie Arkell Smith became one of the most dedicated defenders and often took command of operations. She recalled: “I used to go with the boys to Hyde Park and we had many rows with the Reds.”

She was later imprisoned for alleged financial irregularities and when her true sex was discovered during a prison medical examination, she was charged with “knowingly and willfully causing a false statement to be entered on a register of marriage.” Valerie sold her story to the Sunday newspapers at least three times over the years. She died in poverty and obscurity in 1960 and, at her own request, is buried in an unmarked grave in Kessingland churchyard near Lowestoft.

The movement that Valerie served so well was a breakaway from the British Fascisti founded by Rotha Lintorn-Orman who was born in Somerset in 1895, the daughter of a Field Marshal. She served in the First World War as a military ambulance driver and continued after the war as head of the Red Cross Motor School. In 1923 she placed a series of advertisements in the Duke of Northumberland’s newspaper “The Patriot” calling for volunteers for an organized force to counter a Red Revolution. She wrote:

“I saw the need for an organization of disinterested patriots composed of all classes and all Christian creeds, who would be ready to serve their country in an emergency.”

The project was funded by her mother and modeled on the dynamic Fascist regime of Benito Mussolini who was rebuilding Italy. Rotha Lintorn-Orman and her supporters were convinced that the Russian Revolution was about to be repeated in Britain. They saw the coming General Strike of 1926 as the start of the bloodbath.

Their guru was Nester Webster the prolific authoress of  “ Secret Societies and Subversive Movements” which is still the bible of conspiracy theorists. Nesta Bevan was born in 1876, the daughter of a Bank Manager. She was educated at Westfield College and married Arthur Templar Webster, a Commissioner of Police, in 1904. Lord Kitchener called her: “ the country’s foremost opponent of subversion,” and Winston Churchill wrote: “ This conspiracy against civilization dates from the days of Weishaupt…as a modern historian Mrs Webster has so ably shown, it played a recognizable role on the French revolution.”  Nesta Webster contributed articles to the BF, and later to BUF newspapers. In 1938 she summed up the political situation: “England has thus become a gigantic Parrott house in which words pass from mouth to mouth without the slightest comprehension of the real issues at stake.” She went on to write dozens of books linking world events to Freemasonry. She died in 1960.                                                                                                                                   

From the start the BF movement was infiltrated with MI5 agents including Maxwell Knight and John Baker White, Director of The Economic League. In his autobiography Baker White writes: “ Rotha was one of the bravest people that I have ever met in my life, whose bravery is by no means purely physical… had she been gifted with greater political judgement, and with the backing of funds, and had she been able to formulate a more constructive policy the movement might have become an important factor in the political life of Britain.” Rotha’s portrait as a 21 year old in military uniform by Bassano is in the National Portrait Gallery photographic section. It shows a striking young woman with an open, honest and determined face.

In 1924 a militant faction under Colonel H. Rippon-Seymour broke away to form the National Fascisti. In 1929 Arnold Leese split with the BFs to form The Imperial Fascist League. Finally In 1932 Oswald Mosley founded The British Union of Fascists and invited Rotha to join him. She declined but her chief organizer Neil Francis Hawkins joined the BUF along with William Joyce and most of the active members. The British Fascisti – later anglicized to The British Fascists – successfully fought the Reds on the streets and stopped them from dominating politics before the coming of Mosley’s Blackshirts and the Public Order Act of 1936. After the defections of 1932 and with mounting criticism of her daughter’s lifestyle Mrs Lintorn-Orman withdrew her financial support. Rotha’s drinking problem got progressively worse and she died in 1935 aged only forty.

These great British women contributed in full to the nationalist cause. Valerie Arkell Smith who was one of the first to call for individual freedom and fight for race and nation; Rotha Lintorn Orman had the gift of organization and saw the importance of political action but fell prey to depression; and Nesta Webster who searched for the truth. Valerie Arkell Smith is remembered in “Colonel Barker’s Monstrous Regiment” by Rose Collis, published by Virago in 2001.

Beware of Mumbo Jumbo                                                                                            

Science fiction writers have overcome the constraints of space travel by inventing hyper drive, a way of going faster than the speed of light. They can also take shortcuts through black holes and go backwards and forwards in time. What is impossible in reality is easy if you disregard physics. The distributists have invented a similar device that enables modern states to function without recourse to organized capital; they call it the Folk State. They do not explain how it will work, or how they will run Microsoft, General Electric, BP, HSBC or Toyota as cottage industries. Instead they make blanket accusations of capitalist greed without considering the billions reinvested in research and development, and dismiss the Stock Exchange as a betting shop without suggesting an alternative way to raise investment capital.

Industrial and commercial institutions have evolved to service the modern world. Great corporations make huge profits and pay commensurate taxes. It is the function of the modern state to harness the power of industry for the common good. Breaking up giant companies for the sake of an obsolete political theory would be an act of madness. Small family businesses do not develop lifesaving drugs and back street metal bashing plants do not produce precision scientific instruments. Hitler planned to nationalize German industry and Fritz Todt did build the Autobahnen with his Reicharbeitsdienst but by 1942 Albert Speer had reinstated IG Faben, Siemens, Volkswagen, Deutsche Bank, Krupp and Daimler. With a war to fight he couldn’t mess about with Folkish theories.

It is human nature to look back with selective memory to the good old days. To the postwar generation these memories are of the austere postwar Fifties and the second rate Sixties. The products of those days were badly designed, poorly made and overpriced. Many things in the modern world are regrettable; the decline of education, the politicization of the police, the growth of hooliganism and Third World immigration all spring to mind. But the manufacturing and service industries are greatly improved and modern goods are reliable and comparatively cheap.

Political movements that ignore economics are embracing mumbo jumbo. Capitalism is the natural way to do business; everybody sells something even if it’s his or her labour or experience and there is nothing wrong with making an honest profit.  The Directors of the global corporations must be accountable to governments that ensure fair play. Ted Heath rightly denounced unscrupulous business practices as “the unacceptable face of capitalism” and called for industrial responsibility. The Corporate State is government in partnership with labour and industry. By offering discounts in exchange for long-term maintenance contracts it can provide hospitals, schools, roads and airports without crippling the taxpayers, Similar deals can be tailored to meet the needs of defence and space research. This does not mean that big business is running the country. The Government runs the country on behalf of the people but in partnership with employers and innovators. This system has been tried and tested, unlike the entirely theoretical Folk State. It is fine to believe in alternative medicine or faith healing but people with toothache are better advised to go to the dentist.

Sustaining The Revolution

The political struggle for the survival of Britain is a revolt against the power of the State. Not against legitimate authority but against the crooks that are ruining our country. They have decimated our industries and imported so many black and brown immigrants that they now predominate in parts of our great cities.  Repressive laws have been enacted to stifle protest but the recent BNP legal victory has shown that we can still win.

The establishment hatched their plot long before the London bombings that were predicted by Nick Griffin. The government did not expect the public to resist their propaganda offensive and think for themselves. Now they must think of new ways to stop the progress of the BNP. 

They have subverted and closed down nationalist movements in the past. Good men and women have been imprisoned, assaulted and even killed by the State. The power of the Press, radio and television has been used to promote The New World Order and demonize the resistance movement. The Police have been transformed into partisan paramilitaries and their senior officers strut around like commissars.

Against this ruthless enemy stand the fragmented nationalist movements that have split apart and come together with depressing regularity. They have argued over policy, strategy and leadership. They have even stood against each other in elections instead of maximizing votes with a single candidate.

But the countless demonstrations and rallies have not been in vain. The hard-fought elections were not a waste of time. The thousands of publications and the millions of words have sustained the revolution and kept alive the spirit of resistance. This is the justification for years of struggle. The ethnic invasion has not been accepted; not even by generations born long after it began. In every town and village there are current or former members of far-Right parties who spread the word. Arrests, intimidation and threats have not broken the spirit of the movement and will not stop the inevitable triumph of our ideology.

The destruction of ethnic stability and industrial infrastructure has been repeated throughout Western Europe and has resulted in the rapid growth of the far-Right. The traditional insularity of these national movements is already giving way to a pan-European approach. The riots in Birmingham and Paris confirm that the multiracial experiment has been a disaster and that France, Britain and all the nations of Europe are fighting the same battle for survival. Recent changes to immigration policies in the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy and Malta show that governments can be forced to submit to the will of the people. 

We are now entering the final stage of this struggle for survival; all that is necessary is that we keep the faith.

Captain Archibald Henry Maule Ramsay was born in India to an aristocratic Scottish family on 4^th May 1894; he died in the UK in 1955.

He was educated at Eton and Sandhurst and served in the Coldstream Guards. In 1916 he was wounded and won the Military Cross for gallantry. He was elected Tory MP for Midlothian in 1931.

Ramsay joined the pro-German Nordic League in 1935 and quickly became its leading member. In 1937 he founded The United Christian Front in support of General Franco and the Spanish Nationalists. In 1939 he founded The Right Club to unify the right-wing groups in Britain. Its members included leading fascists like AK Chesterton and William Joyce but it was heavily infiltrated with government agents. In the House of Commons Ramsay campaigned against Leslie Hore Belisha the Secretary for War. He warned that Hore Belisha “will lead us into war with our blood brothers of the Nordic race in order to make way for a Bolshevised Europe.”

In 1940 two members of The Right Club, Anna Wolkoff and Tyler Kent were arrested by MI5 and accused of spying for Germany. Tyler Kent was an American Embassy code clerk, a Russian scholar and a dedicated anti-communist. When arrested he was found to be in possession of Captain Ramsay’s Red Book containing the names of Right Club members. At a secret trial Kent was sentenced to seven years imprisonment and Anna Wolkoff to ten. There was no evidence against Captain Ramsay and when The New York Times suggested that he was implicated he sued them. Ramsay won the case but the court awarded him only one farthing damages and he picked up the costs.

The Right Club continued to oppose the war even after it had started.

A 1940 leaflet was entitled Your New Year Resolution:

We appeal to the working men and women of Great Britain to purchase the new Defence Bonds and Savings Certificates thus keeping the war going for as long as possible. Your willing self-sacrifice and support will enable the war profiteers to make bigger profits and at the same time save their wealth from being conscripted. Lend to defend the rights of British manhood to die in a foreign war every 25 years. Don’t be selfish. Save for shells and slaughter. Forget about the slums, the unemployed, the old age pensioners and other social reforms your money could be invested in. Just remember that your savings are much more wisely spent in the noble cause of death and destruction. Be patriotic. Come on, the first million pounds.

Captain Ramsay was detained without charge under Defence Regulation 18B on 23^rd May 1940 and not released from Brixton Prison until 26^th September 1944.  The next morning he reported for duty at the House of Commons. ‘The Nameless War’ is his account of the forces that brought about the war. Celebrating the Diversity of the Right                                                                             

Many different strands are woven into the rich tapestry of the far-Right and every strand is made of individual threads

The ‘ Economist Faction’ believes in the ideas of Sir Oswald Mosley who expounded his detailed policies in many books and pamphlets.

Opposed to this scientific approach we have the ‘ Folksy Faction’ with their antiquated vision of simple but happy peasants gathering the harvest with pitchforks; the romantic thoughts of GK Chesterton and Hillaire Belloc that are not much use for a small island with sixty million mouths to feed.

There are the ‘Head Measurers’ who do not see beyond their Aryan noses. Instead of supporting solidarity they divide the white nations into ever decreasing ethnic types illustrated by faded photographs in ancient volumes.

We still have the ‘Fancy Dress Faction’ more than sixty years after their founder blew his brains out in a Berlin basement. The worst cases actually wear jackboots and khaki shirts.

This is allowed amongst consenting adults in private but strictly forbidden under the Public Order Act.

The ‘British is Best Faction’ really believe that they have a God-given right to look down on other nationalities. They talk about British values as though our neighbours are tribes of savages. They usually read the ‘Daily Mail’ hate the French and live in Spain.

They are related to the ‘High Tories’ who dream of Sir Winston Churchill coming back to lead us against our enemies as he did during the war. They see the far-Right as nothing but a Tory pressure group.

One of the strangest factions are ‘The Vikings’ who pretend to understand the runes and have battle-axes hanging on the living room walls of their suburban houses. They all claim to be descended from the marauding seafarers who specialized in gang rape and armed robbery in the good old days before Christianity.

Finally we have ‘The Christians’ who think that Jesus believed in tax cuts, free trade, short sharp shocks and capital punishment. They dislike unmarried mothers, homosexuals and vegetarians and get very upset about Moslems who they accuse of intolerance.

This used to be a minority group but they seem to be growing.

Every member of a far-Right party belongs to at least one faction, but some belong to multiple factions and some are serial faction swappers.

All political parties have different schools of thought but the far-Right has more than its share of mutually antagonistic cliques that are only held together by a common hatred of the New World Order.

The old gang parties enforce discipline on their members to keep them in line; but the far-Right with its authoritarian image is really made up of anarchist with little or no respect for authority.

The nationalist movement has survived by accommodating the different elements that constantly threaten to break away to form new parties. This has taken skill, patience but above all a sense of humour.

The leaderless Liberal Democrats have rattled Tony Blair by winning the Dunfirmline  and West Fife by-election with a 16% swing from Labour. This could point to a Labour collapse in the coming council elections. The Liberal Democrats have bounced back after a relentless media onslaught against Charles Kennedy and the revelations concerning Mark Oaten and Simon Hughes. The Tories did badly but the anti-European UKIP got a derisory 208 votes despite friendly coverage from the Press.

The sweeping victory of Hamas in the Palestinian General Election has left Jerusalem and Washington in a state of shock. America and Israel are saying that they will not deal with terrorists or even talk to Hamas. We have been here before. The only answer to the Palestine problem is two states that talk to each other and cooperate on security. A single secular state with equality for Jews and Arabs would be better; but this is many years away. Both sides are guilty of atrocities and both sides need peace to develop and prosper. Eventually reason will triumph over rhetoric.

Sir Ian Blair the over exposed Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police has insulted the memory of murdered schoolgirls Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells. He suggested that their tragic story was only high profile because they were white. He has since offered a grudging apology. In his short term of office this institutionally stupid copper has congratulated his force as violent crime has risen and waffled his way through the police assassination of an innocent man at Stockwell. He is now mouthing the mantra of the politically ambitious by accusing the Press of being racist. Embarrassed fellow officers are calling for their boss to be sacked.

The Americans cheered when Taliban mujahideen lynched President Najibullah in Aryana Square in Kabul in 1996. Washington saw the Taliban as good anti-communists and friends of the West. They backed them with arms and training just as they once backed Saddam Hussein against the Iranian revolutionaries. Now Britain is sending thousands more troops to Afghanistan to help fight a civil war that has cost over 1600 lives in the past year. The American-installed regime of Hamid Karzai has proven its capitalist credentials by doubling opium production and flooding Britain with drugs.

This has turned into another American foreign policy disaster.

Alan Greenspan has retired as Chairman of the Federal Reserve the independent authority that controls American economic policy. During his long term of office Greenspan has steered America through the Nineties recession, the Pacific recession, the dotcom boom and bust, the Enron and Worldcom scandals and the fuel crisis. His unswerving policy throughout all these troubles has been ‘do nothing.’ He believes that things sort themselves out and that markets find their own level without government interference. The 30,000 redundant Ford workers in Detroit are victims of this free market philosophy that is destroying American industry. The twin evils of imported labour and exported jobs are being suffered on both sides of the Atlantic. 

The Great Adventure                                                                                                    

I was introduced to nationalist politics in the late Fifties by Bill Barnes the father of my friend Paul Barnes. Bill has been in the prewar IFL but had managed to escape the 18B round up. He took us to Union Movement meetings in Trafalgar Square and it was at this venue that we attended a joint meeting of the National Labour Party and the White Defence League in 1959. This meeting was addressed by John Bean, Andrew Fountaine and Colin Jordan. We wanted to join up but Bill advised caution and steered us toward the League of Empire Loyalists. A year later we joined the League and took part in a lot of hair-raising stunts and heckling of other people’s meetings. Paul was arrested for shouting abuse at the House of Commons and we were thrown out of the Tory Party Conference at Llandudno. I remember the Loyalists with great fondness, particularly Austen Brooks and Rosine de Bounevialle.

After a while Paul and I joined John Bean’s new party the BNP and held regular meetings in Bethnal Green, Brixton and Earls Court. The League had taught us how to fight; now we learned the basics of street corner oratory. These meetings sometimes attracted the opposition but they were generally peaceful. This all changed with the NSM riot in Trafalgar Square. After that we faced a sharp increase in organized violence and we were badly mauled at Balls Pond Road. But we regrouped and fought comparatively successful election campaigns at Deptford and Southall.

I went to South Africa in 1966 and missed the start of the National Front. I came home in 1970 and joined the NF but apart from plenty of social events and the 1974 Red Lion Square march I didn’t get much involved. I had become convinced that their insular policy would not work.

I then joined Union Movement and campaigned for Britain’s entry into the European Union. This caused surprisingly little friction with my political friends who nearly all opposed entry. In the Seventies and Eighties I contributed articles to ‘Action’ and edited the independent newsletter ‘Nation.’ This was distributed to NF and UM members in ‘The Bladebone’ in Bethnal Green, it had a small circulation but some great writers including Bill Barnes and Terry Savage.

I observed the faction fighting in the NF and the birth of the new BNP from a distance.

I have met some remarkable characters over the years; visionary leaders who went to prison for their beliefs and ordinary members who spent years giving out leaflets, selling papers and risking life and limb attending street meetings and marches.

There have been plenty of drunks, oddballs, conspiracy freaks and historical revisionists.

There was Otto who was a Sri Lankan but a dedicated British nationalist. There have been supporters who were reputed to be Jewish. We have had happily married couples and every type of sexual nonconformist. I have known decorated war heroes, conscientious objectors and many who were locked up during the war.

Today the internet enables us to spread the word to an ever wider audience. The fight has become worldwide and nationalists in Europe and America have become allies in the great adventure.
