Free Speech

The UK government is using the Race Relations Act, the Public Order Act, and the Anti-Terrorism Act to restrict free speech. These Acts were brought in to protect us, not to silence legitimate dissent, but many people have been fined or sent to prison simply for expressing their opinions, and many more have been censored by the self-appointed guardians of the Internet.

The denial of free speech in the UK is not as bad as countries like China or Iran, but it's much harsher than the United States. Alison Chabloz (pictured) was jailed for singing allegedly anti-Semitic songs by Tory Home Secretary Suella Braverman. Remember that the modern Conservative Party was founded by Benjamin Disraeli who borrowed the money to buy shares in the Suez Canal from his friend Nathaniel Rothschild.

Ashley Sharp, a 42-year-old truck driver from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, has been charged with owning a book called The White Resistance Manual, and for posting details of his White Stag Athletics Club on his Telegram channel. William Tyndale (an ancestor of John Tyndall) was bunt at the stake in 1536 for translating the Bible into English, but it's hard to believe that in the 21st century a man can be imprisoned just for owning a book!

The Tories will probably be thrown out at the next general election, but the Labour Party will be no better at upholding free speech. Their previous leader Jeremy Corbyn was falsely accused of anti-Semitism and expelled from the Party for supporting the Palestinians in their struggle against Israeli occupation.

Veteran left-wing MP Diane Abbot has been suspended from the Party for daring to suggest that the transatlantic slave trade was worse than the Holocaust.

And the Guardian newspaper pulled a cartoon by Martin Rowson that poked fun at Richard Sharp the former chairman of the BBC who is Jewish.

Within the broad spectrum of the so-called far-right there are all sorts of eccentric opinions. In a democracy people should be free to believe what they like, even if their views offend others. The Tories are right to clamp down on promoters of violence and racial hatred but they shouldn't pick on misguided minorities, dissident writers, cartoonists, and singers.

Human Rights

The Emir of Qatar was criticised during the 2022 FIFA World Cup for his country's poor health and safety record and his strict legal code. This is unfortunate because the UK is a major exporter of arms to Qatar and a good customer for their liquified gas.

Many pundits thought the tournament should only be held in countries with good Human Rights records; but very few countries fit that description and political dissidents face imprisonment all over the world; Russia and Iran are particularly sensitive to criticism, the USA runs the infamous Guantanamo detention camp, and the UK is holding Julian Assange in prison pending his extradition to the USA on trumped-up charges of espionage.

But its not just politics that can get you into trouble. Indonesia has banned sex between unmarried couples and many African and Asian countries have laws against homosexuality; as did the UK as recently as 1967.

Then we have countries that ill-treat their minorities. China persecutes the Uighurs, Myanmar persecutes the Rohingyas, Israel persecutes Palestinians, Mauretania and Tunisia persecute black Africans, the Dominican Republic persecutes  Haitians, and so on.

All crimes against humanity should be condemned but If we cut sporting and diplomatic links to states with less than perfect records on human rights we would have no one to talk to, except the Scandinavians.

We aggravate the situation by allowing our national football team to make fatuous gestures such as 'taking the knee'. Perhaps they would be more successful if they forgot about politics and concentrated on their game? 

Whether it's sport or world affairs we should mind our own business. We are constantly reminded by our politicians that the UK is one of the richest country in the world, but we have people living in poverty, sleeping in doorways, freezing because they can't afford to keep warm in the winter, and waiting months for urgent medical treatment. When we have sorted out these injustices we might be in a better position to lecture the rest of the world on Human Rights.

Friends, my name is Richard Edmonds. I am British and I have travelled here to Dresden to say that the bombing of Dresden in February 1945 was a crime, a crime that was committed by the British government.  As we know, in the final weeks of the Second World War, hundreds of British bombers mercilessly attacked this city. The blood of the victims stains and besmirches the hands of the government that ordered this dreadful attack.

It was Churchill's government which ordered the attack on Dresden. And it was Churchill's government which started the bombing war: the bombing war which deliberately rained terror, mutilation, fire and death onto the homes of millions of defenceless civilians, women, mothers, children and old folk. And the British government openly and shamelessly confirmed in the official history of the British Royal Air Force that it was Britain that started the dreadful and pitiless bombing war. I quote from the official history of the Royal Air Force.

"It was we British who started the bombing war which aimed deliberately to target civilians." End of quote.

Fact: it was British bombers which deliberately bombed the German city of Muenchen Gladbach as early as April 1940; in the early summer of 1940 British bombers repeatedly bombed the towns of the Ruhr district. The reaction of the German government  against these repeated bombing attacks on German towns and cities came only months later. For example; the notorious attack by the German Luftwaffe on Coventry came as late as November 1940.

The role of Churchill's government in initiating the bombing war and its increasing barbarism is clear. For example the leading British official and Secretary of State at the British Ministry of War, James Spaight, described in his official book, "Bombing Vindicated," and I quote:

"We British started the bombing war which was aimed deliberately at civilians living in homes hundreds of miles behind the fighting front-lines." And the British Secretary of State, member of Churchill's wartime government said that "we are proud of what we did": quote from "Bombing Vindicated." These are the words of the British Secretary of State and member of Churchill's wartime government. Hundreds of thousands of civilians fell victim to the British and American bombing war. It is of course a war crime for a soldier to aim his weapon at a civilian. The British and Americans gave themselves permission a million times over to commit this particular war-crime. And Churchill's Secretary of State was "proud" of what they had done. One sees the source of the cold-blooded barbarism.

In wartime Britain there were principled individuals who publicly spoke out and condemned Churchill's merciless bombing war. One of these brave individuals was the British academic, Charles Percy Snow, and I quote:

"The British plans to bomb and to destroy German working-class residential areas, were plans motivated by a deep sadistic impulse to kill thousands of women and children." And Charles Percy Snow continued, "What will future generations think of us Britons? Will future generations that we British forswore our humanity, they will have the right to say so." End of quote.

As a British person in the centre of Dresden here on this day of mourning, I would like to say that with all decency, the present British government should apologise to the German people for the crimes committed by Churchill's government and in particular for the sadistic impulse of Churchill's government to murder defenceless civilians, mothers and children.

Pan Europa and Practical Idealism

Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi is hated by the far-right for founding the Pan Europa movement and for allegedly promoting race mixing. He is certainly guilty of the first charge. He wrote ‘Pan Europa’ in 1923, a hundred years ago, soon after the First World War when empires were collapsing, and the map of Europe was being redrawn. He is not guilty on the second charge. In his 1925 book ‘Practical Idealism’ he predicted that the Europe of the future could have a mixed-race proletariat ruled by a Jewish aristocracy.

Coudenhove-Kalergi put culture before race, as befits a man of Japanese and Austrian heritage, but he didn’t promote race mixing. Europe in1925 contained very few non-Europeans. France deployed Senegalese troops to occupy the Rhineland, Berlin was home to a substantial Turkish minority, and Britain had a thriving Chinatown in London and an African community in Cardiff. Apart from that Europe was overwhelmingly European, and nobody expected the mass migrations from Africa and Asia that came in the second half of the 20^th century.

In ‘Pan Europa’ RCK lists the adversaries of European unity, and one hundred years later they are still the same; Chauvinists, Communists, Militarists, and Industrialist protected by tariffs. The disaster of the Second World War, the rise of global capitalism, and the IT revolution have not altered this list.

The British Empire was effectively ended when General Percival surrendered Singapore to General Yamashita in 1942, but the façade of empire lingered on until British and French troops were ordered out of Egypt by a furious American president, Dwight Eisenhower, in 1956.

The Soviet Union has been replaced by the Russian Federation, but the Cold War mentality persists, and Russia’s intervention in Ukraine has revived Western hostility.

Most of the Western nations have increased their defence budgets as retired generals and hawkish politicians talk irresponsibly about putting ‘boots on the ground’.

In the run up to the 2016 referendum we were promised lucrative trade deals with the rest of the world and protection for our farmers, fishermen and industrial workers. Unfortunately, none of these things have happened.

Pan Europa was the right idea in 1923 and it’s still right in 2023.

RCK is remembered because of a quotation from his book ‘Practical Idealism’.

“The man of the future will be a mixed-breed. Today’s races and castes will fall victim to the increased overcoming of space, time, and prejudice. The Eurasian-Negroid race of the future, similar in its features to the ancient Egyptians, will replace the diversity of nations with a diversity of personalities.”

His prediction is becoming a reality, but his critics fail to remember his devotion to Europe:

“Europe is the hero of the world; on every battle front of humanity, it is at the top in hunting, war, and technology, Europeans have accomplished more than any other culture in history. They have almost eradicated all dangerous animals; conquered almost all dark-skinned nations, as well as, through science and technology achieved such total domination over nature as never has been possible. Asia’s world mission is the salvation of humanity through ethics – Europe’s world mission is to liberate humanity through technology.”

‘Practical Idealism’ was only translated from the German by Dimitra Ekmektsis in 2019. Far-right writers have been condemning RCK for years, but few of them speak German and hardly any of them have read his book. It is published by Omnia Veritas which specialises in ‘revisionist’ material. The blurb on the cover reads: “The Kalergi Plan to Destroy European Peoples” - a claim that can’t be justified.

Free Speech

I recently attended a meeting of the Four Club in central London at which David Irving was the guest speaker. Many of his book signings and speeches have been cancelled or disrupted in the past due to organised violence, but this meeting was by invitation only and it went off without incident.

The Four Club is an initiative of the author and peace campaigner James Thring (pictured) and filmaker and historian Michele Renouf. It's named after the Four Virtues of classical Greece; Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance. The British tradition of free speech is being undermined by so-called anti-fascists who decide who can speak and on what subject. I must admit that in the old days I used to heckle other people's meetings, but I now realise that this was wrong. People have  the right to believe in whatever they like, asking sensible questions is fine but speakers should not be shouted down. 

The National Front held some impressive marches in the 1970s that made them known throughout the UK, but they were usually attacked by screaming mobs of anti-fascists. I only attended one NF march, from Victoria to Red Lion Square in 1974. I disagreed with the NF over Europe but I supported them on immigration. Thousands of militants tried to stop the march but they were confronted by the police who did a magnificent job. Unfortunately, one anti-fascist demonstrator was killed and several were wounded.

Our traditional ways of protesting are in need of revision. Marches and demonstrations are a nuisance to the public and a danger to the emergency services who need free access to the roads. Marches, disruptive heckling, and forced cancellations threaten the very idea of free speech.

We don't need new laws to remedy the situation. There are plenty of laws dealing with obstruction and threatening behaviour that could be used. It would require a politicaly neutral police force to enforce them, but our politicised police are committed to the Liberal Consensus. This was clearly demonstrated when police officers 'took the knee' in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. This sounds harmless enough but BLM is not a pacifist civil-rights movement it's an extreme anti-white organisation that goes in for looting, arson, and attacks on the police. Five police officers were shot dead by snipers at a BLM demo in Dallas in July 2006.

We must have black and brown police officers because they represent the British demographic, but 'political correctness' enforced from above causes more harm than good. We can't improve race relations by humiliating the police, and we can't make people respect each other by looting shops, setting fire to businesses, and shooting police officers. 

The Law should be applied without fear or favour. It's wrong to discriminate against people because of their creed or colour but it's just as wrong to excuse criminality for the sake of political expediency. Freedom of speech and assembly must be protected. 

Too Much Idealism

Many people have told me that the European Union is not the vision slendid of 'Europe a Nation' proclaimed by Oswald Mosley. For arguments sake I will accept that opinion but the fact remains that Oswald Mosley took an active part in the 1975 European Referendum, and his followers celebrated its positive outcome. Mosley was an idealist but he was also a practical man who promoted the European Union from an economic and security perspective. 

Political activists of the so-called far-right often have trouble distinguishing between fantasy and reality. The vast majority of Britons want to end mass migration. That's possible, it would only take an act of parliament enforced by a determined border force. We have the means to do it, all that we lack is the courage to overturn almost a century of open door immigration. But the fantasists are not satisfied with stopping the influx, they dream about rounding up millions of people and sending them back to their countries of origin.

And it's the same with capitalism. We need laws to protect us from unfair employers and service providers, but to talk about destroying the capitalist system is nonsense. Attemps to do away with capitalism ended in failure in the Soviet Union and turned into state capitalism in China.

Political idealists always go too far. Most people want a good life for their families; decent food, housing, education, and health care, but few of them are interested in abstract ideas of 'liberty, equality and fraternity'. A benevolent dictator who provides the population with the essentials of life is preferable to an idealistic leader who does not.

Benito Mussolini transformed Italy from feudalism to modernity. He established a comprehensive health and social security system, he improved education and transportation and he enjoyed the adoration of his people; until he tried to recreate the Roman Empire.

North of the Alps, Adolf Hitler did a similar job, he ended unemployment and lifted Germany out of poverty, but his obsession with Race was his downfall. As well as hating the Jews he believed that the Russians were inferior beings who could easily be conquered. That idea perished in the ruins of defeated Germany. The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact between the Third Reich and the Soviet Union was beneficial to both countries, but Hitler's head was full of Wagnerian images of a triumphant master race.

We must defend our culture and improve social conditions but we should beware of too much idealism. Better to have your feet on the ground than your head in the clouds.

Letter From America - Robert Lyons

Bill, Happy to hear your 'weak heart' is behaving itself, hopefully mine will also continue to do the same. Funny you should mention David Irving, I was just thinking about him. Irving used to speak at nearby hotels on a regular basis every couple of years but I haven't seen him on a US tour in at least 4 or 5 years. Irving takes lots of precautions and I've never known any of his speaking tours in this country to be disrupted or even picketed. I usually get their early and he's usually in the lobby , I walk up to him and shake his hand and he would send me off to the meeting room where he would appear after ushering everybody to the correct meeting site. I remember his first meeting years ago, he had this absolutely gorgeous young lady with him who I greatly enjoyed talking to, the last few times I saw him he was all by himself, crammed into a small car with his books along with his suitcases. He's an amazing person, I wonder if he ever finished his Himmler book?

I was re-reading Dr Goebbels' early diaries the other day where he mentions riding around with Himmler on the back of his motorcycle. The National Socialist movement in Germany in the early days was amazing, how they could have built the movement from scratch with nothing else but hard work and dedication leaves me shaking my head and wondering how they could have done it, to have everything click into place like that, sure wish their luck could have continued to the end. Oh well off on my tangents again, as the saying goes: "If ifs and buts were fruit and nuts what a wonderful party we would have." Bob 

Identity

The LGTB fraternity beleive that people should be allowed to chose their gender instead of being defined by their genitalia. In the same way people of mixed heritage can decide which race or nation they belong to. This will upset the head measurers who worry about such things, but most people accept that we are a multiracial country.

David Kurton is the leader of the Heritage Party. His father was Jamaican but he is a true-blue Englishman with distinctly nationalistic opinions. He is by no means our first dusky patriot.

Otto Abbeysakera was an active member of Union Movement in the1950s. I used to drink with him and a group of National Front supporters in the 1970s, and there was never a problem with his Sri Lankan ancestry.

Michael Johnson was elected to the local council in Blackburn for the England First Party in 2006. He had an African grandfather but he is a proud British ex-serviceman.

Sharon Ebanks was the Birmingham organiser of the British National Party. She won a council seat in 2006 but the result was overturned. The Birmingham Mail reported that she had a Jamaican father but she denied it.

Jack Sen is an Anglo-Indian who was expelled from Ukip for making anti-Semetic remarks, and from the BNP for challenging the leader. He currently runs the European Knights Project.

                              

Claire Khaw is a writer and thinker of Malaysian origin who acheived notoriety as a member of the BNP. She promotes a patriachal philosphy with her website the Voice of Reason. 

These people are genuine patriots who have stood for their beliefs; Otto Abbeysekara fought the Reds on the streets, Michael Johnson risked his livelyhood by standing for the EFP, Sharon Ebanks faced crippling legal fees when she contested her election result, and Jack Sen's heritage was exposed on national TV. 

The hard-liners of the far-right think that Race is everything, but identity is mainly determined by culture. Even the Nazis acknowledged this fact. When Field Marshal Erhard Mich was accused of being Jewish by the Gestapo, Herman Goring came to his defence, saying: "I decide who is a Jew in the Luftwaffe."

Identity is all about acceptance. During the Apartheid era in South Africa people were classified by race but if there was any doubt about it their acceptance by the community was taken into account. When the Nationalists came to power in 1948, any Whites married to Cape Coloureds were classified as 'Coloureds'. Of course, it's easy to tell a European from a black African but the Cape Coloureds can be anything from black to white. Even Jan van Riebeeck, the father of White South Africa, was reputed to have a Malay mother.

I am not advocating race mixing. I have opposed non-European immigration all my life, but it's too late to do anything about it now. We should defend our culture, deport illegals, stop any further influx, and encourage repatriation, but those incomers legally settled here must be assimilited. 

Count Potocki

If he was still alive Count Geoffrey Potocki would have taken a keen interest in Ukraine, which was one of his realms. He styled himself Count Geoffrey Wladislas Vaile Potocki de Montalk, King of Poland, Hungary and Bohemia, Grand Duke of Lithuania, Silesia and the Ukraine, Hospodar of Moldova and High Priest of the Sun.

He was a New Zealand born printer, poet, pagan, and pornographer who was sentenced to six months in Wormwood Scrubbs Prison in 1932 for publishing a collection of erotic poems entitled 'The Lament of Sir John Penis'. In court he took an oath to Apollo while giving the fascist salute. The judge warned the jury that the case was "paricularly filthy."

Before the war he printed literature for William Joyce's National Socialist League. In 1943 he was the first to  accuse the Soviets of committing the Katyn Forest Massacre. After the war he printed leaflets for Sevitri Devi which she distributed in occupied Germany. And in the 1960s he printed literature for Colin Jordan's National Socialist Movement. He published his 'Right Review' throughout the war but he was not interned; perhaps because of his Royal connections?

He always wore a red velvet cloak, shoulder length hair and sandals. Terry Cooper, who was Francoise Dior's teenage lover, reported that when Count Potocki met Sevitri Devi he was wearing his usual regalia and she was dressed in a traditional Indian sari. He said: "I am the KIng of Poland", and she said: "I am a Hindu princess."

He was born in New Zealand in1903 and died in France in 1997. He was a colourful character who despised liberal democracy and bourgeoise morality. In today's conformist and homogenised world we could do with more people like him.

Enduring the Unendurable

When Hirohito the Emperor of Japan broadcasted to the nation in 1945 his people expected him to call for the ultimate sacrifice. They had been brought up and indoctrinated to fight to the finish and they were prepared to do so. So they could hardly believe it when their Emperor asked them to "endure the unendurable" and surrender.

When people have been brainwashed into believing in a cause over many years it's almost impossible for them to change their minds. Only the atomic devastation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the fire-bombing of Tokyo, made the Japanese people accept their fate.

The same torment is being felt by the Brexiteers who have campaigned fanatically for over forty years to get Britain out of the European Union. They have achieved their objective and we are now suffering the consequences of their folly. Everything dismissed as 'project fear' during the referendum campaign has come to pass; chaos at Dover, economic decline, labour shortages, increased Third World immigration, and the crisis in Northern Ireland.

They must now endure the unendurable and admit that they were wrong. Most of them will claim that they were misinformed, a few will admit their mistake, but the diehards will carry on fighting like Japanese soldiers in the jungle.

When a dedicated anti-European like Lord Hannan states that Britain would have been better off to stay in the single market, and the Daily Mail and the Daily Express begin to question Brexit, it's as traumatic to the Brexiteers as Hirohito's broadcast was to the Japanese people. They should take heart from the Emperor's loyal subjects who did endure the unendurable and went on to achieve unprecedented stability and prosperity.

Free Speech.

There's nothing new about the UK government sending political dissidents to prison. Recent research has revealed that during the Second World War Oswald Mosley and over a thousand of his followers were detained without charge or trial under Defence Regulation 18B, together with members of other parties such as Tory MP Capt Maul Ramsay and former Labour MP John Beckett. But the victims of 18B were luckier than William Joyce and John Amery who paid the ultimate price for opposing plutocracy.

Since the war, scores of patriots have been jailed for; incitement, shoplifting, firearms offences, assault, murder, gross indecency, terrorism, and drawing cartoons. They are now joined by 48-year-old army veteran and London Forum organiser Jez Turner. He said that the Jews are too powerful and to prove his point they had him banged up for twelve months.

Alison Chabloz a talented 54-year-old folk singer from Derbyshire has been convicted, for singing anti-Semitic songs. She will be sentenced in June. Both of them were targeted by Gideon Falter of the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism.

Tommy Robinson was sentenced to 13 months imprisonment for contempt of court. He reported on an ongoing trial after he had been warned not to by a judge. As the journalist, Maajid Nawaz said it's a pity that the authorities didn't act as quickly against the grooming gangs. 

Anyone exercising their right to free speech should do so carefully. Pension fund robbers, dodgy bankers, and sexual predators are fair game but they must be attacked for their crimes and not their tribe.

'The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion' are a fabrication and the Jewish conspiracy theory is far-fetched but there's no doubt that the Jews have friends in high places - notably Theresa May. Most Jews are decent law-abiding citizens but they are let down by the likes of Robert Maxwell, Bernie Madoff and Harvey Weinstein.

Martin Webster on RT

George Galloway, the former Labour and Respect Party MP, is a seasoned journalist and broadcaster who specialises in confrontational interviews. He used his expertise to quiz Martin Webster on repatriation and the wartime slaughter of the Jews. Martin Webster answered frankly and unapologetically, and most importantly, he kept his temper.

He is a former organiser of the National Front who now issues the bulletins 'Electronic Loose Cannon' and 'Electronic Watch on Zion'. His spirited defence was based on his view that the British people have not accepted the multi-racial society. That's debatable but it was good to see an Englishman sticking up for his country. Martin Webster must be congratulated for not allowing himself to be provoked or intimidated. He certainly did better than Nick Griffin on Question Time.

The Tories, ever conscious of the 'Special Relationship' with the USA, are threatening to ban Russian Television as part of their anti-Russian campaign. They accuse RT of broadcasting state propaganda, unlike our saintly BBC which transmits only the unvarnished truth. But the Tories will probably lose the next election and we will be under the benign dictatorship of Jeremy Corbyn’s allegedly anti-Semitic Labour Party.

The Northlander

When violence erupted in West London in 1958 the media blamed the white working class, but Roger Pearson of 'The Northlander' took a different view. He was a co-founder of the Northern League, which described itself as a pan-Nordic cultural organisation. In 1965 he moved to America where he worked with Willis Carto and became a prominent member of the World Anti-Communist League. Proudly displayed on his office wall in Washington DC was a framed letter from President Ronald Reagan.

"You are performing a valuable service in bringing to a wide audience the works of leading scholars who are supportive of a free enterprise economy, a firm and consistent foreign policy and a strong national defence. Your substantial contribution to promoting and upholding those ideals and principles that we value home and abroad are greatly appreciated." 

This editorial from 'The Northlander' of September 1958 is written in the style and language of the Fifties.

"It did not take long before left-wingers and one-worlders got round to falsifying reports and using the news of the recent disturbances in Britain at Nottingham and Notting Hill Gate against the English.

With the Nottingham flare-up, the one-worlders were taken by surprise and the news was fairly accurately reported. Here was a clear case of native Englishmen being attacked and struck down without means of defence, by gangs of West Indians armed with razors, iron bars, chains and broken bottles. All the people admitted to hospital were English, and this fact was allowed to leak out.

By the time of the Notting Hill Gate troubles, however, the Left was alerted. When a boy of ten was coshed in the face, the press had had its orders not to mention that he was English. When fire-bombs were thrown, again most papers overlooked that they were thrown by West Indians. Instead, when one West Indian thug was pursued by Teddy boys, this was given enormous prominence as though the entire trouble was due to the deliberate onslaught of trouble making 'white' elements against the innocent immigrants: even though a short while previously the papers were admitting that crime thrived amongst the West Indians in this area.

In future, we can now expect nothing but biased reporting with suppression of news which might reveal the true facts and promote further opposition to the continued mongrelisation of Britain. And watch out for one of the cleverest of all tricks. Destroy national pride, that is the watchword of the cosmopolites: don't admit that English husbands have been struck down on English soil while their wives were pummelled. That might bring something of the old spirit of our English heritage back. Say instead merely that fights developed between 'whites' and West Indians. Take away the national heritage of the English, and dub them 'whites', a miscellaneous, unattractive word. Deny them their heritage, and they won't see it pass away.

With luck, they may even overlook it when an African appears on television and calls himself a Welshman on the grounds that he was born in Cardiff."

The Economy

Those worried that banks "create money out of nothing" should have met my uncle John. Many years ago I was drinking with him when he was offered a lorry load of toys. He hadn't seen them and no money changed hands but the deal was struck. Several drinks later another man approached him who wanted to buy the toys. The deal was settled with a handshake and my uncle made a handsome profit without seeing the goods or handling the money. That was my introduction to commerce, a system that's governed by supply and demand and relies on trust. It taught me that there's nothing mysterious about credit and there's nothing wrong with making a profit.

Governments raise money by collecting taxes and selling interest-bearing bonds. There is nothing wrong with that. Adolf Hitler was a great bond salesman. The Third Reich was financed by bonds and so was the Allied war effort. Governments and private companies are not "creating money out of nothing" when they issue bonds, they are taking deposits in return for future rewards.

Excessive interest rates on loans and investments are wrong but reasonable rates are legitimate. It's fashionable to hate bankers but they are only providing a service. Financial criminals should be arrested and punished but your bank manager should be spared.

All of the totalitarian regimes preached revolution but practised a form of state capitalism. After an initial period of runaway inflation, the State Bank of the USSR issued a new rouble backed by gold. And in Germany, Hitler's Rothschild-trained Economics Minister Hjalmar Schacht laid the foundations of recovery with the help of his close friend Montague Norman of the Bank of England who obligingly transferred the Czechoslovak gold reserves to the Reich. The Nazis invested in public works, as recommended by Oswald Mosley and Maynard Keynes in the UK and practised by Benito Mussolini in Italy and FD Roosevelt in the USA.

Theoretical economic systems are all very well but nations live by producing or importing, goods and services. Those with educated workers and plentiful resources are booming but those without are struggling. We are fortunate in the UK to have efficient agricultural and manufacturing sectors and thriving services.

Fifty years ago half of our workers were employed in manufacturing. We exported ships, locomotives, cars and motorcycles to the Dominions and imported their raw materials. Now, the pattern of world trade has changed; most of the manufacturing jobs have gone, and 86% of our workers are employed in services. It's a pity because people took pride in being skilled workers. It's just as honourable to be a burger flipper or a call centre operator but not as satisfying, or as lucrative. 

Our mostly foreign-owned industries are competitive. The same workers who constantly went on strike in the old days are now breaking production records. They have shown what they can do with modern machinery and good management, and they have destroyed the myth of the lazy British worker. It wasn't bloody-minded trade unions that crippled British industry but absentee bosses who thought that they could run a business from a golf course.

Global capitalism driven by consumer demand and made possible by containerised shipping has made most of us richer. We can afford to take our holidays in exotic locations and buy the latest electrical goods but the old industries that provided good jobs and pensions have gone to China. Today, a good education is essential to get a well-paid job. Tony Blair was wrong about "weapons of mass destruction" but he was right about education.

The Service Economy includes everyone from medical staff to construction workers and engineers. We are short of skills because successive governments found it cheaper to hire foreigners than to train our own people. It costs £230,000 to train a doctor but the NHS can bring one from abroad for the price of an airline ticket. We must end this reliance on imported labour but until we have enough trained workers we will need immigrant labour. We must, therefore, decide if we want fellow Europeans, who share our race and culture, or Africans and Asians.

We don't know what will happen when we leave the EU, or even if we will leave. But whatever happens, we will still need to provide goods and services for the home market and export enough goods to earn dollars with which to buy oil. Since the Nixon Shock of 1971, the US has dominated the World Trade Organisation and used trade as a weapon of war. 'Free Trade' is an illusion and Liam Fox is chasing rainbows.

We have been losing out for centuries because the enemy has a better propaganda machine and is able to buy people off. They also use front men to act for them so the real controllers are never seen. For instance, every prime minister since 1940 has been a Zionist and Jews have run America and the UK for much longer than many people realise. America, Britain, most of the EU and Australia are currently run by Israel. Note these were the countries that expelled their Russian diplomats.

I stood for the National Front in the late 1970's and early 1980's for the general election. I had good local support due to me standing locally and being self-employed running my own TV company selling, repairing and renting televisions and video recorders. A few weeks before the first general election I heard that an elderly high ranking Freemason was spreading lies about me. He phoned me asking me to repair his TV without identifying himself. When I called he spent three hours interrogating me. At the end, he had to admit I had good reason to be annoyed with the people I was complaining about.

After the second general election, he called me round again. He said "You received the same result of 17 and a half percent this time as you received before, despite the problems escalating between the two elections. You won't get any more than this because only around 16% of the public have the ability to think clearly and can be persuaded to vote for whichever party the BBC and newspapers want to win. Why don't you become a Freemason and I can arrange for you to rent TV and video recorders in hotels owned by Freemasons and arrange for you to get elected as a Labour or Tory councillor in virtually any area that you want. You won't have to pay for the TV's we will buy them and you can pay us back as you collect the money." I turned him down as I knew I would not be able to say what I wanted and there was a good chance that they would want to call back favours. The Bolsheviks found that putting fluoride in the water prevented the public from thinking clearly. This is the real reason parliament insists on adding it.

Parliament, the BBC, Fabians, Freemasons and others are trying to get the British outnumbered as soon as possible by blacks, Muslims, Asians and other foreigners. It is clear that our enemies put the immigrants before the British. Their first aim is to get us at war with Russia. Many of the naïve Britons I speak to are not interested in listening. When I say you will pay attention when you get your call-up papers it makes them think. The Bolshevik Revolution was funded and organised by American based Jewish bankers. They decided they needed to reunite Western Europeans with the Soviet Bloc. So they allowed the Wall to come down and they then started getting the ex-Soviet countries to join the EU. They have been outsmarted by Putin who has done much to re-Christianise the Soviet Union and done much to restore confidence in his people. This has angered the Jewish warmongers who are determined to start a war between the West and Russia. The next Zionist war, if we don't take back control of our country, will be a three-way civil war between the Muslims, blacks and the British. It is no good saying lots of the immigrants are doing useful jobs helping us out. It only takes 2% of the blacks and Muslims to create a serious threat and don't forget the Zionists and Parliament will be on their side.

The African Personality - Peter Wallis

The fate of Africa cannot be a matter of indifference to us in Europe. Interest and morality alike decree our involvement in this vast continent with whose destiny we chose to interfere in our imperial past, and in which large numbers of our fellow-Europeans have settled during several hundred years. It is therefore unwise to close our eyes to any evidence which may throw light on the complex problems facing Africa today.

Among the influences with which we have to contend is the emotional appeal of what is usually, wrongly, called African nationalism. African racialism would be a more accurate term, but racialism is of course a dirty word in the political vocabulary: it is only Europeans who commit that crime. But call it what you will, it exists.

"Today there is a new African in the world, and that new African is ready to fight his own battle and show that after all, the black man is capable of managing his own affairs," declared Dr Nkrumah at Ghana's independence celebrations, and his speeches since have all been full of talk of the "assertion of the African personality."

However much we may doubt whether Dr Nkrumah's actions have justified his proud boast of African capacity for self-government, the question of "the African personality" is certainly an interesting one. Is there in fact any such thing? The phrase occurs again and again in a recent collection of African writings edited by the American negro poet Langston Hughes, "An African Treasury" (Gollance).

In spite of the effusions of the editor there is little of any great literary merit here, though one or two of the poems come across well enough. "African Heaven," by Francis Ernest Kobina Parkes, with its opening lines: "Give me black souls, Let them be black, Or chocolate brown, Or make them the colour of dust" - may not exactly put Eliot or Pound out of business (it does rather remind one of Stephen Spender, though) but it is a forceful reminder of the emotional appeal of his blackness to the rootless African intellectual with no other means of identification with his fellow-negroes.

The political pieces are on the whole rather banal. All of them could easily have been taken from the pages of Encounter or The New Statesman, several of them were. There is nothing very memorable here except Peter Abraham's article "The Blacks" which by illustration sums up the situation of the minority of educated westernised Africans, frustrated by the lack of opportunity for them both in tribal Africa and European society.

Jomo Kenyatta is a case in point. Peter Abrahams' reminiscences show him storming out of a tribal ceremony in his honour muttering "I can't stand any more." Yet shortly afterwards Kenyatta was to be jailed for his part in the Kenya troubles.

So much then for the "African personality." In fact no such thing emerges, only a conflict between the tribal heritage on the one hand and an ersatz Europeanism on the other, as harmful to the African as to the European.

This is not perhaps, a book to comfort the white settler interest. Neither should it bring comfort to the pious sentimentalists of the Left - though so blinded by their own self-righteousness that they are likely to welcome it without seeing its deeper tragic implications.

Lastly a word about apartheid. Throughout the book the word is used as synonymous with the white man's injustice to the black. This travesty has now become a commonplace of English journalism, and its high time that someone pointed out that such injustices as exist  - and he would be both blind and foolish who denied they do exist - are the result of a hangover from old-fashioned colonialism and the lack of genuine apartheid.

In fact only real separate development, leading ultimately to separate nationhood, can allow a true "African personality" to develop, and so resolve the conflict, not just between black and white, but within the negro himself, which this book so clearly describes.

The Age of the Superficial

Presidents, prime ministers, chiefs of staff, and senior executives are surrounded by spokesmen but some of them can't keep their mouths shut.

Clement Attlee, the post-war Labour prime minister, was a man of few words. A BBC reporter once thrust a microphone into his face and asked: "Prime Minister have you anything to say." Attlee looked at him contemptuously and replied; "No." Nowadays we would have been subjected to fatuous phrases, such as; "let me be absolutely clear about this," or; "I think we would all agree." This would be accompanied by beaming smiles and practised gestures designed to sell snake oil.

Dave Cameron was a master of waffle who gave us such meaningless phrases as; "The Big Society" and "The Northern Powerhouse." He was chosen by his party because he was a good looking young man with the gift of the gab, unlike Clem Atlee who was a taciturn old man with a bald head.

The police are just as bad. Every major crime now results in  television appearances by a high ranking officer wearing an 
impeccably tailored uniform. Through perfect teeth they
convince us that their particular police force is doing a magnificent job and remind us how grateful we should be to be protected by such bold gendarmes. The fact that they have no idea who committed the crime is not allowed to spoil the performance. The days of Dixon of Dock Green making a simple statement are long gone.

The courts are another rich source of unnecessary comment. We have come to expect lofty reflections from soberly-suited magistrates and high court judges in their wigs and gowns who dispense judicial waffle together with justice.  

Not to be outdone churchmen of all denominations issue pious pronouncements from the whitewashed chapels of the non-conformists to the sumptuous cathedrals of Catholics and High Anglicans.

The Church and the courts can keep their traditions but we can do without meaningless verbiage from politicians lacking in principles and common sense but brimming with self confidence. We live in the age of the superficial. 

Leadership

The Chilean mine rescue of October 2010 was achieved with courage and leadership. 33 miners were trapped 700 metres underground for 70 days following a collapse at the Copiapo mine. Led by their shift supervisor, 54-year-old Luis Urzua, the men organised themselves into working parties and arranged food distribution, sanitation, communications and religious services. Thanks to their discipline and team spirit they maintained morale and none of them suffered serious injury. A rescue shaft was drilled and a special capsule was designed and built to carry the men up to the surface, one by one. The last man out was Luis Arzua.

Heroism is common in wartime but leadership and courage is just as important in peacetime. The Officer's Training Corps gives young men and women the chance to develop their leadership skills. In fact, most of them do not pursue army careers but their training and discipline is just as essential in industry. Similar schemes such as The Duke of Edinburgh's Award have equipped thousands of young people with valuable life skills. The Scouting Movement also instils the virtues of patriotism and comradeship.

The young officers who led our armed forces in two world wars were the product of an educational system designed for the purpose. Hopefully, we will never have to repeat their sacrifice but we will always need leaders. We have survived the egalitarian obsession which gave prizes to everyone to avoid disappointment. Determination must be rewarded because nothing can be achieved without effort, and nothing can replace leadership.

As a ten-year-old boy I had the honour to be presented to  Field Marshal Montgomery. He was born in his father's vicarage at St Mark's Kennington and I went to St Mark's School. We were all lined up like soldiers in the playground
when the great man inspected us. To my young eyes he radiated leadership. Years later I read his autobiography and met old soldiers who had served under him. And I found that my boyhood impression was well founded.

Free Speech and State Repression

Theresa May has kept her promise to the Jewish community to stamp out anti-Semitism. Several political activists are serving prison sentences and Jez Turner of the London Forum is facing prosecution. Her government treads carefully when dealing with left-wing organisations but patriotic movements are fair game. This has long been the case. The following editorial is from Action of October 1961:

The Lefty press has been horrified at the Home Secretary's action in banning under the Public Order Act the "Committee of 100" from demonstrating in Parliament Square. Some interesting admissions were also made in the Tory press when the old birds started clucking.

For instance, The Sunday Telegraph (17-9-61) explained "Government hopes of keeping order in Central London are pinned to an Act that was originally designed to deal with Britain's Fascists. The activities of Sir Oswald Mosley's Union Movement led to the passing in 1936 of the Public Order Act."

Leaving aside the obvious error in this statement (Union Movement did not exist in 1936) this is a remarkable admission indeed. It says right out what we have always claimed: the Public Order Act was not so much concerned with keeping order as with supressing the pre-war British Union.

Every trick in the game has been tried - from encouraging Red mobs to attack orderly British Union meetings, down to private prosecution of British Union members - without success. So pre-war Conservative Government, fearful of the mounting success of British Union, tried to smother it under the cover of the Public Order Act. It failed: it had to go to war in 1939 to do that.

The Sunday Pictorial on the same day went one better. You always get even more hypocrisy on the Left. It said the Act should never have been used: "It was originally passed to stop pre-war Fascist rioting." Something is clearly wrong with the Pictorial's memory - has it forgotten already what its old pals from Whitechapel and Aldgate were doing in Cable Street in 1936? - Jack Spot and his fellow-gangsters, the comrades from King Street and the rest of that alien throng?

The fact of the 1936 rioting is that Mosley and the Blackshirts proposed to march to four meetings in Bethnal Green, Bow, Limehouse and Shoreditch on October 4, 1936; areas in which they had great popular support, as was shown at the LCC elections the following March when they polled 23 percent of the votes in Bethnal Green, 19 percent in Limehouse and 14 percent in Shoreditch.

To prevent the march and four orderly meetings the Communists and some Jews organised violence. They mingled with the crowd in their usual tactics to make an armed attack on the march. The police banned the march to prevent injury to onlookers; the Reds then proceeded to attack the police with their weapons.

It was left to a weak-kneed Conservative administration to complete what the Communists had started. Alarmed by the success of the New Movement in Britain, they rushed through legislation to ban the Blackshirt movement.

They used Red violence as the excuse for banning the one effective answer to Red violence. As always, their Public Order Act was humbug from start to finish - they had long surrendered public order to the Communists.

English patriotism has been denigrated and attacked for years. Its revival and the reassertion of national confidence must precede any constructive part in which our people, along with our Welsh and Scottish companions, can play in European development. We need the combination of all the diverse national sentiments across the common continent, not their diminution or conflict with one another. None of us should ever feel smothered by a "foreign" majority or incur the slightest further damage to our individual tradition, but we do need to unite so that we can all again have a decisive impact upon future world history. This balance is difficult for our particular country, but the picture can be clarified with a few thoughts.

During the recent regrettably under-played Battle of Britain celebrations, I was among those who felt the catch in the throat as memories were evoked by the chugging sound and monochrome sight of the Spitfire piloted in Kentish skies, and the history and poetry of this "blessed plot... set in a silver sea" returned to heart and mind. Yet this sentiment is perfectly consistent with the knowledge of the damage done to our country and to our entire civilisation by two Anglo-German wars, an admiration for Teutonic achievements in music and scholarship, and a realisation that our "island race" and the Germans, many centuries earlier, were largely the same people. Much as I acknowledge the virtues of Islam or the genial loyalism of many West Indians I do not feel in the least "foreign" among the Germans or the French, whereas this sadly  is not the case when travelling around the new "ethnic communities" resident in our ancient cities. And it is not a matter of "pigmentation."

What is it about the character of our English villages, market towns and cathedral cities that makes one feel a national patriotism? They are distinctive, of course, but paradoxically  much of their appeal lies in their very European character dating back further than Nelson or Drake to a time when Europeans shared a single faith, while branching out with the languages that derive from the "Aryan" original. Lagos and Delhi, Peking and even Los Angeles, do not feel "ours". With York or Salisbury, Triers and Rouen, there is a sense of belonging. Our "island story" - banned from school libraries by the leftwing censors of "multiracialism" - was one of Britons, Romans, Saxons, Danes and Norman French, a European history.

Our family of peoples made a civilisation still faced with internal and external dangers, whatever the truth about Gorbachev and the American banks that keep him afloat. Differences between Nordic and Mediterranean, or Celt and Slav, have become as irrelevant as the denominational dissentions among Christians. We all face problems of population overspill from the "decolonised" third-world, rampant materialism, the egalitarian ideology that accompanies decadence and runaway technology that can
split atoms and splice genes with horrendous social consequences. Readers should peruse the neo-Spenglarian accounts in such studies as Apocalypse 2000 by Peter Jay and Michael Stewart and Shall We Make the Year 2000 by JG de Beus.

England must re-adapt its politics, along with its immediate neighbours and former "dominions," precisely in order to preserve its essential character, and to recover effective control over "our own affairs." This entails sovereignty over changes inside British boundaries and co-operation, with others likewise threatened by international forces, over external supplies and meeting hostile threats. We should join the French and Germans against redefinition of our homelands as "multicultural societies" re-opened for Afro-Asian immigration on a scale unprecedented since the Mongol and Saracen hordes. Ideological nonsense, unscientific sloganizing and psychological terror used by so-called "antiracists" must be intellectually defeated and politically superseded.

A half way house between the old Europe of Nations and a new Nation of Europe, however, will bring the worst of both worlds. Elected European government should be concerned almost entirely with defence of this geostrategic region, and with credit-control and trade agreements to secure self-sufficiency and a balance between production and consumption, but little more. (The member for Finchley must not return from the Gulf to renew hostilities across the Rhine by the way). If compulsory multiculturalism can be overcome, and British patriotism and competence revived we might, even yet, feel sufficiently on top of events to contribute peacefully and constructively to European development: a role for Charles 111.

"The real Europe has existed for three thousand years, and these shifting barricades which separate us are of more recent and man-made origin. If it had not been for that little muddle after the death of Charlemagne, a united Europe might have been strong enough to prevent the neighbouring island grabbing most of the world. As it is, English experience may now be of some assistance in helping Europe (of which we are a part despite every crime and folly of our present rulers) to preserve nearly everything which still matters in the world.

Let us not think even in terms of 1914, 1939, or of the nineteenth century; let us dare even to think biologically... Much as we love our countries we shall grow to realise that the proudest words spoken on earth since Civis Romanus sum will be I am a European.
