Well Done Everybody

The low turnout at recent UK elections showed how disinterested people are in democracy. The voters know that their opinions are ignored and that voting is a complete waste of time. And given the choice of parties available one can hardly blame them for staying at home.

The Labour Party has benefited from the unpopularity of the government but the industrial working class that sustained them is shrinking fast. The heavy industries have gone to Asia and their once powerful trade unions have lost their clout.

The Liberal Democrats have got some intelligent policies but they have been damaged by their coalition with the Tories and are undermined by the mass circulation newspapers, Sky TV and Channel 5 for being pro-European.

Ukip are doing well but if Britain quits the European Union they will lose their raison d’être. They are therefore trying to become a Poujadist movement by calling for tax reform and immigration controls.

The BNP intend to make good a budget deficit of £126 billion by withholding £6 billion from the EU and £8 billion in foreign aid (2012 figures). But even a financial genius like Nick Griffin can’t make 6 + 8 = 126. This is no doubt a mathematical conspiracy by Marxists, state agents, traitors and Searchlight spies.

The Green Party is making progress in middle class areas like Brighton but they are not likely to appeal to a wider constituency. The Respect Party is more or less limited to immigrant areas and the various far-left parties are hopelessly divided.

Given a choice of parties in the pockets of big business it’s no wonder that a ballot box was recently returned in Monmouth with not a single vote cast. Elections are being decided on turnouts of 25% or less. The Old Gang is crying crocodile tears over the decline of parliamentary democracy but more and more people are refusing to take part in head counting. The real winners of last year’s elections were the apathy party; the majority of men and women who refused to put illiterate crosses on ballot papers to give a gang of ungrateful chancers £65,738 a year plus expenses. Well done to everybody that stayed away from the polls. Emma Goldman was right when she said: “if voting changed anything they would abolish it.”

The Rise of Ukip

People have got very short memories. The Labour Party won all their by elections despite being responsible for ruining the economy and flooding the country with immigrants. They have only been out of power for two years but people have already forgotten how bad things were under Gordon Brown. The public’s response to Croydon town centre being burned down by rioting black mobs was to re-elect the Labour Party that brought most of them to the UK.

But the big surprise was the rise of Ukip. They have become a rightwing populist party that has eclipsed the BNP. They have captured the anti-Euro vote and they now seek to grab the anti-immigration vote. While their far-right rivals have been arguing amongst themselves Ukip have come up with a simple non-racist five year ban on immigration that is legal as well as popular.

They came second in a string of by elections but their prospects are still as limited as their horizons. The Tories could blow them away by calling a referendum on Europe but the more likely scenario is that Dave Cameron will do a deal with Alex Salmond. He will drop his insistence on a yes/no Scottish referendum to offer the SNP “devo max” – total autonomy within a federal UK in return for scrapping the Scottish MPs at Westminster and ensuring a Tory majority in an English parliament.

Despite Brian Leveson’s conclusion that the popular press is impartial it’s clear that Ukip is promoted by the mass media and could easily be destroyed by them. Nigel Farage enjoys favourable publicity at the moment but if Dave Cameron did a deal with the media barons to save them from regulation the inanely grinning face of the great patriot would disappear from our screens and newspapers.

Like all political parties Ukip is comprised of human beings who enjoy all the usual vices. There’s almost bound to be a sex scandal or a financial impropriety waiting to be exposed by our “fearless press.” These things are part of the human condition and it seems that politicians are particularly vulnerable to temptation.

But it might not take a juicy scandal to bury Ukip: they are killing themselves with constant repetition. They have been predicting the demise of the EU and the collapse of the euro for donkey’s years but both are still going strong. If you want to know who will win an election it’s best to look at the bookmakers’ odds. And if you want to know the viability of a currency look at China’s foreign reserves. Tony Gallagher, the desperately depressing editor of the declining Daily Telegraph, is convinced that the euro is doomed but the cheerful new Chinese leader Xi Jinping can’t get enough of them. The EU is the world’s largest trading bloc and the euro is the second most traded currency after the dollar. You can either listen to the last gasp of a dying newspaper or follow the example of the world’s fastest growing economy.  

The press is still powerful but fifty years ago it was all-powerful. Malcolm X is hardly remembered today but he was one of the first popular leaders to challenge the stranglehold of the press barons. In 1964 he said:

“The press is so powerful in its image-making role; it can make a criminal look like he’s the victim and make the victim look like he’s the criminal. This is the press, an irresponsible press”…

“If you aren’t careful, the newspapers will have hating the people who are being oppressed and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”

Too Late For Justice

In 1988 Ronald Reagan agreed to compensate Japanese Americans detained without trial during World War 2. This cost the American taxpayer $1.6 billion. Inspired by this act of redemption former BUF member John Charnley wrote to Chris Pattern at the Home Office to demand a pardon for his wartime imprisonment under Defence Regulation 18B. Charnley invoked the Petition of Human Rights 1628 which states that: “No free man may be imprisoned other than by lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land.” Chris Pattern is a good man in many ways but his answer was a classic legal cop-out. He replied:

“It would seem that whilst Mr Charnley was detained under the law as it then stood, but not convicted of any offence there is therefore, no offence that can be pardoned. There is no power by which the Home Secretary can effect or, as it were, ‘wipe out’ the fact that he was detained under the exceptional powers of detention in the Defence Regulations. I am afraid I can only confirm that there is no action which the Home Secretary could now properly take.”

The recent publication of Cruel Britannia by Ian Cobain (Portobello Books) details some of the atrocities committed against victims of 18B and prisoners of war under chief interrogator Robin ‘Tin Eye’ Stephens. He was exonerated at his subsequent court martial but as more wartime documents are released the truth about this dark chapter in our history will be revealed. Even David Blair in the Establishment mouthpiece the Daily Telegraph admitted:

“The Attlee government covered up these horrors and Stephens walked free after a flawed trial.”

Nellie Driver was a courageous BUF organizer who was imprisoned without charge or trial under Defence Regulation 18B. Together with over a thousand others she was detained simply for opposing Winston Churchill’s war. She further defied the forces of ‘democracy’ by writing the following haunting poem:

Within these walls confined at night

I often heard them cry
Although my woes were far from light
My own eyes were not dry,
It seemed that justice came that way
And haughtily passed by.

Sixty-eight years after the war there are probably no survivors of 18B. It’s too late for them to be pardoned or compensated. 18B was not a legitimate security measure. A thousand unarmed and untrained men and women would have been no use to an invading German Army comprised of 9 infantry divisions and 2 airborne divisions. 18B was a vindictive act of political persecution by the fanatical warmongers Winston Churchill and Herbert Morrison. Following the Battle of Britain Adolf Hitler cancelled Operation Sea Lion because he couldn’t beat the RAF or the Royal Navy. The excuse of detaining alleged “fifth columnists” made no sense after November 1940 but many of them were held captive until 1945. Innocent men and women whose only crime was to disagree with Winston Churchill and stand up for their rights: the very principles that the war was supposed to be about.

The Roots of European Union

Opponents of the European Union accuse it of being a “Marxist-inspired” organization designed to enslave the world under a global dictatorship. But the father of the EU, Robert Schuman, was no Marxist, he was a devout Catholic who devoted his life to public service and the cause of European unity.

Speaking at Strasbourg in May 1949 he outlined his vision:

“We are carrying out a great experiment, the fulfillment of the same recurrent dream that for ten centuries has revisited the people of Europe: creating between them an organization putting an end to war and guaranteeing an eternal peace. The Roman church of the Middle Ages failed finally in its attempts that were inspired by humane and human preoccupations. Another idea, that of a world empire constituted under the auspices of German emperors was less disinterested; it already relied on the unacceptable pretentions of a ‘Fuhrertum’ (domination by dictatorship) whose ‘charms’ we have all experienced.

Audacious minds, such as Dante, Erasmus, Abbé de St Pierre, Rousseau, Kant and Proudhon, had created in the abstract the framework for systems that were both ingenious and generous. The title of one of these systems became the synonym of all that is inspirational: Utopia, itself a work of genius, written by Thomas Moore, the Chancellor of Henry VIII, King of England.

The European spirit signifies being conscious of belonging to a cultural family and to have a willingness to serve that community in the spirit of total mutuality, without any hidden motives of hegemony or the selfish exploitation of others. The 19^th century saw feudal ideas being opposed and, with the rise of a national spirit, and nationalities asserting themselves. Our century, that has witnessed the catastrophes resulting in the unending clash of nationalities, must attempt and succeed in reconciling nations in a supranational association. This will safeguard the diversities and aspirations of each nation while coordinating them in the same manner as the regions are coordinated within the unity of the nation.”

If the Marxists wanted to bring about world government they should have infiltrated the British Empire. It was worldwide, contained all the races and resources of humanity and was controlled by a central authority. But far from encouraging the British Empire they worked hard to destroy it. Ramon Mercander killed off the Marxist plan for world government when he buried an ice axe in the head of Leon Trotsky in August 1940. His employer, Joseph Stalin, believed in “socialism in one country” – just like his ally of the time Adolf Hitler. Far from being a Marxist conception the European Union is the culmination of two millennia of cultural development; a political and ultimately a spiritual union with the potential to of feed, defend and preserve our civilization.

It’s a funny old world

We have all heard outlandish theories that are supposed to explain what is really happening in the world. They are usually based on the idea of a deliberate conspiracy and they are so popular that they have their own magazines and websites. The first rule of conspiracy theory is that nothing is what it seems to be. Plane crashes are never the result of mechanical failure or pilot error but always due to sabotage. And assassinations are never the work of a lone psychopath but always organized by a team of professionals working for one of more of the intelligence agencies.

These ideas become entrenched over the years, and when somebody disagrees with them they are looked upon as a heretic. The Kennedy assassination has been described as the mother of all conspiracy theories. The Warren Commission was thoroughly conducted but more than forty years later a Fox News poll showed that 66% of Americans thought that there had been a conspiracy while 74% thought that there had been a cover-up.

One of the persistent fallacies is that everyone is Jewish. This accusation is made against; Churchill, Roosevelt, Lenin, Stalin, Ataturk, Rupert Murdoch, the old Queen Mother and Tony Blair. But people are not necessarily Jewish just because we don’t like them. On the other hand Ferdinand Lassalle the father of German National Socialism was a Jew; and so was Harold Soref who was a standard bearer at Mosley’s great prewar Earls Court rally and one of the first Tory MPs to defy Central Office by opposing non-European immigration into the UK.

Paranoia is contagious and a good conspiracy theory can go viral. Seemingly rational human beings who hold down regular jobs and read the Daily Mail suddenly start believing that George W Bush organized 9/11; that the Moon landing was staged in Arizona and that Elvis is working in Starbucks. Official enquiries do nothing to disabuse them because they believe that government ministers and high court judges are all part of the conspiracy.

Conspiracy buffs believe that almost every prominent person who has died in recent years was bumped off. They were therefore unfazed when British intelligence officers were killed in the helicopter crash of 1994, and when the Polish president Lech Kaczynski was killed in the air crash in 2010. The trouble is that governments do knock off their opponents from time to time and intelligence agencies are often staffed by criminals and lunatics. We should also remember that Admiral Wilhelm Canaris, Hitler’s chief of military intelligence, was a British agent, and that the Cambridge Five;  Guy Burgess, Donald Maclean. Kim Philby, Anthony Blunt and John Cairncross were senior British civil servants and KGB spies. As Margaret Thatcher said when she fell from power: “It’s a funny old world.”

There is no Alternative

After two years of coalition government Britain’s economy is still in trouble. Unemployment and inflation are stable but we are still spending much more than we collect in taxes. We currently have a massive deficit of £126 billion.

The government can tinker with taxation and raid pension funds but it has no control over the cost of imported oil, gas and food. At the same time our exports are undercut by Chinese and Indian goods made by workers earning a fraction of our wages. Businesses cannot expand because the state-subsidized banks are still undercapitalized: since the financial crisis of 2008 lending rules have been tightened and credit is effectively frozen.

Attempts to levy VAT on takeaway food and holiday homes have met with massive opposition. The Labour Party want to tax the rich and the Tories want to cut benefits to the poor. But there are not enough people at either end of the social spectrum to balance the books. Most people are not rich or poor; they are the struggling middle class that are trying to pay their mortgages and hang on to their jobs. The government might trim £10 billion off the welfare budget and squeeze another £10 billion in taxation but they will still have a massive budget deficit. The only solution is to stop spending so much money. This would not necessarily result in a reduction in services. Crime has actually gone down since police budgets were cut.

Our armed forces should be structured for self-defence and we should expand the Anglo-French Defence Treaty to include the rest of the EU. But the biggest drain on our resources is the upkeep of those who have never worked and are determined not to. Not the genuine unemployed who are looking for work, or the sick or disabled who are unable to, but those home-grown and imported parasites who are content to live on handouts. A drastic revision of welfare payments would start a stampede to get out of the country. The airlines would do a roaring trade flying home foreign scroungers and our native work-dodgers would find a job if the alternative was starvation. This may sound harsh but if we do not reduce spending and borrowing the pound will depreciate and the Welfare State will collapse.

Who are you?

My name is Arlette Baldacchino and I am one of 5 siblings born to a Scottish-Maltese father and a German-Maltese mother, making me as European as I am Mediterranean. I live in Malta, a small island in the Mediterranean where culture and tradition, together with strong family values are the foundations on which we build our future. As time went by, I started to realize that the same beliefs that shaped my life were changing, and as a mother I knew that the legacy I inherited from my ancestors was completely different to that which we are passing on to the next generation.

What do you believe in?

I believe that I have the right to Be.

To be serene in my environment; to be proud of my achievements and to strive for more, seeking within to find the strength we didn’t even know existed.

I believe in securing a future for our children, one that is not merely as noble as that of our forefathers, but better. A future anchored in tradition and improved with the advancement of science and technology.

I have the greatest respect for Mother Nature, for the earth and the cosmos, and I draw strength from the power of elements: the full moon, a roaring fire, and the waves crashing onto the shore in a splendid display of raw energy.

Politically I believe that the future is beyond left and right and that if we are to preserve our birthright we must put aside petty differences and seek what unites us. We must learn from the mistakes of the past, and close ranks to work together for a future that unites all people from a European background wherever they are, from Ireland to Vladivostok and beyond.

If you could direct government policy what would you do?

I would secure our borders and put an immediate end to all non-European immigration. This would be followed by a repatriation programme to send all foreigners back to their homelands.

Just as important would be a complete overhaul of the educational system and a similar exercise in mass media. Our children are growing up in a world that burdens them with guilt for the perceived sins of their forefathers coupled with an admiration for anything foreign and “exotic”. This is wrong and damaging, and if we really want to implement change, we must start with our children for it is these youngsters who will direct government policy eventually.

What are you proud of and what do you regret?

I am proud of the fact that I act on my beliefs. In 2005 I co-founded a website and forum to raise awareness of the problems I have highlighted above. We also use this website to offer an alternative source of news and educational articles that the mainstream media does not cover, or worse, hides.

I am a proud activist and mother, and I practice what I preach, whether political, cultural or spiritual. I am a committed animal lover, a vegetarian and I am also teetotal.

I have very few regrets, mostly because when I am wrong I apologies and learn from my errors.

How would you like to be remembered?

I suffer no delusions and know that I am loved and hated in equal measure, so I will be remembered exactly as I am living. However with those I care for, I would like to be remembered as one who offered a safe haven; a sacred spot where souls meet to rest and nest, safe in the knowledge that their secrets are kept and their vulnerabilities respected. Myths and Fantasies

According to The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, published in 1903, the Jews are trying to take over the world. So far they have only taken over the country between the Jordan and the Mediterranean where 5.9 million Jews, backed by the USA, dominate 6.1 million Arabs. The “Protocols” were written by Matvei Golovinski, a gifted agent of the Okhrana, the Imperial Russian secret-service, who survived the 1917 revolution by simply changing sides. He claimed that Bolshevism was led by the Jews and drawing from the French Revolution and the unifications of Germany and Italy he predicted the development of geopolitics and the rise of global capitalism. But his cleverly prophetic book was nevertheless an ingenious forgery.

The Rothschilds bankrolled Europe for two hundred years but the current bankers to the Western World are Saudi Arabia and China. They amassed fortunes by selling oil and exploiting cheap labour. Both countries are ideologically opposed to capitalism but they have taken to it like ducks to water. Moneylenders come in all shapes and sizes and not all of them are Jewish. Zionism is another matter: it’s a vicious and aggressive form of Apartheid based on the preposterous idea that the Jews are God’s “chosen people”. But Zionists are not necessarily Jewish: Dave Cameron and his hypocritical Foreign Secretary, William Hague, are committed Zionists.

Public opinion was not formed by the Frankfurt School but by capitalists like Rupert Murdoch who was recently accused of being anti-Semitic for remarks he made on Twitter. He is the son of a millionaire who made even more money by selling news and entertainment. He was born in Australia but lives in America and runs a worldwide media empire. He is married to a Chinese woman and his family is fashionably multiracial. Rupert Murdoch believes in global capitalism protected by American military might. A worldview shared by millions of his readers and viewers who have never been near a university or sat through a lecture by a Marxist professor.

At a time of worldwide recession people are afraid of mass migration and the burden it places on housing, education, health and social security. They are worried about their jobs, mortgages, pensions and entitlements. But apart from a suspicious minority they are not interested in 9/11 or the Kennedy assassination. We should offer the public something more than myths and fantasies. And we should keep the message nice and simple: something like - Britain for the British!

The Guillotine and the Gulag – Jez Turner

(Text of a speech given on Saturday 13^th October 2012 to the 7^th Annual John Tyndall Memorial Meeting, Preston, Lancashire, organized by “Heritage & Destiny” Magazine)

There are two forces in this world, two significant forces, only two. One is Evil and one is Good. Let’s first look at the Evil Force, sometimes called the Death Force, or the Destructive Force.

It destroys. It debilitates, it deracinates. It brings degradation, decadence and decay. It destroys. It destroys ALL cultures, all traditions, all customs, all religions, all heritage, all civilization and all races. It destroys all higher human sentiments – such as chivalry, patriotism, national pride, honour, fair-play, decency, piety and innocence. It destroys Nature herself – both the local countryside and the teeming oceans and the vast rainforests. It even destroys Human Nature.

If successful, the Evil Force will produce ‘A One World Slave State.’ A boring world concreted over with ugly tower blocks and shopping malls. Everybody will be mixed-up, mingled and miscegenated without culture, without religion, without race. We’ll all be, quite literally, THE SAME. Identikits, replaceable, interchangeable. We’ll be slaves with no higher purpose to our existence than to earn money and spend it – to spend it on leisure and pleasure.

Perfect slaves – bamboozled and brainwashed – without any better role models either as individuals or nations. Perfect slaves, because we’ll have nothing to free ourselves for, nothing to free ourselves towards, no escape route, nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide. Perfect slaves, because we won’t even know that we are slaves.

This Evil Force enlists to its ranks knaves, fools and cowards. It uses blackmail, bribery, corruption, intimidation, persecution, fear and the lie. It uses the little lie, the big lie, lots of lies and … ideology.

Before there was ideology there was something called ‘common sense’. There was something called ‘wisdom’. If a policy was good for the tribe, then it was good. If it was bad for the tribe, it was bad. Ditto race and nation. Simple.

Then our enemies created ideology. Ideologies to trick and trap our minds. They created Liberalism, Capitalism, Communism, Feminism, Freudianism, Multi-racialism, Modernism, Post-Modernism, etc, etc … ad nauseum. But ALL these ideologies lead the same way, downward. They all lead to racial, cultural and national suicide. No sane people would VOLUNTARILY adopt such ideologies. Try to sell one of these ideologies to an uncorrupted Amazonian, African or Asian tribe and they’d laugh at you. Laugh at you, or kill you. Probably both. Laugh at you and then kill you for the dangerous lunatic you would be to try such a thing.

Such ideologies are weapons, much like the germs used in germ warfare. They destroy all that is healthy and strong. They destroy the national, racial and cultural immune systems. You could fly a plane over an enemy country and drop these ideologies on the country as if you were dropping bombs. Then you could sit back and allow the ideologies to do their work. Thirty years later after the ideologies had weakened the enemy country, your own troops would be able to march into the country and take it over without resistance. In fact why bother with troops? Just send unarmed migrants.

So we’ve looked at the first force, the Evil Force, now let’s look at the second force. The Force for Good, the Life Force, the Good Force. This force is quite simply opposed to the first force, the Evil Force. The two forces are diametrically opposed. They are enemies. Arch enemies.

The Good Force values traditions, culture, nations, religions, races – it protects and nurtures them. It promotes all the higher human sentiments. It values bravery and beauty. It loves Nature in all her forms. The Good Force is represented by the people in this room today.

Now when the enemy created ideologies our people were told to choose, much as they are in a modern democratic election. They were told to choose Evil Option No 1, Evil Option No 2 or Evil Option No 3. Our people were confused, they weren’t keen on any of the options. So those who fought on the side of good created counter ideologies.

Now I don’t care whether the mass media call us ultra-conservatives, patriots, fascists, traditionalists, third positionists, fourth positionists, nationalists, racialists, national racialists, racial nationalists, national socialists or social nationalists. All that matters is that we are on the good side, the same side.

Our ideology is older than ideology. Our ideology is older than all those labels. It is the ideology of the tribe. It is the ideology of the caveman, the hunter gatherer, the Cro-Magnon. It is the ideology of Common Sense, of Wisdom.

Yet they call us extremists. I’ll tell you what’s extreme. Allowing an alien minority to own or control all that’s worth owning and controlling – that’s extreme. Allowing millions of non-white immigrants into our nations – that’s extreme! Giving away our sovereignty to shadowy, supra-national bodies – that’s extreme! Allowing pornography, drugs and crime to run rampant – rewarding criminals and punishing victims – that’s extreme! Trashing our culture, our traditions, our heritage, our way of life – that’s extreme! Encouraging and funding obscenity and perversion in the arts, in music and in architecture – that’s extreme! Destroying our natural environment from which we gain such vital inspiration and spiritual sustenance – that’s extreme! Twisting, subverting and undermining our religions into increasingly unrecognizable parodies of their former selves – that’s extreme! Destroying the family. Sex education for 5 year old children. Murdering millions of unborn babies in their mothers’ wombs and persuading the mothers to think what they are doing is fine – these things are extreme.

And yet they call us extreme for opposing all this. They’re the extremists not us! If ever you find yourself wavering, if you find yourself unsure, take ‘The Ancestor Test’. Bring back to life an ancestor of your and show him/her the world today, show your ancestor the multi-racial mess, the sick stew into which society is sinking and ask you ancestor “Who is the extremist? Those who’ve brought this about or those who oppose it?” You’ll be told the truth.

Yes, behind this soft façade, behind these honeyed phrases of the enemy, behind ‘Liberty, Equality, Fraternity’, ‘the Brotherhood of Man’, ‘Human Rights’ and ‘Liberal Democracy’, what actually have they given us? The guillotine and the gulag. The killing fields of Pol Pot. Suicidal fratricidal wars – in America the American Civil War and in Europe the First World War – genocidal wars in which the best genes of our race were wiped out. They’ve given us the bombing of Dresden. Of Hamburg, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Falluja and Mogadishu. Evil, pure Evil.

Evil however does have a function. It has a purpose. It separates the wheat from the chaff; those who are complicit with it and those who are opposed to it. It’s up to us, to good people like us, to lead the opposition. We are the natural leaders of our people. Why?

We are the natural leaders of our people for three reasons. Firstly, we see the real reason for the problems that confront our world, we understand what’s happening – we have breadth of vision, we see the grand scheme. Secondly, we see the solutions, the answers – we have the antidote to the great evil that means the end of everything that makes life worthwhile. And thirdly, we have the guts to do something about it.

Who are you?

I am Robert Best a 43 year old author currently living in West Sussex. I am happily married to a pretty girl, an artist from Northern Italy and we have a handsome and clever son. I enjoy writing, reading, sketching, watching films, listening to classical and rock music, playing tennis, martial arts and walking our German shepherd dog. I am the author of 'Europe Unite', ‘Fascism and Religion’, ‘Tolkien: Master of Middle Earth’, ‘The British Free Corps’, ‘Red Terror: The Crimes of Marxism’ and ‘The Whitechapel Murders’, published by Steven Books and League Enterprises.

What do you believe in?

I believe in the future greatness and splendour of England, Britain and Europe and the preservation and advancement of the European peoples, without hatred for other races and nations. I am also a deeply spiritual man and I have researched comparative world religions and the occult. I was brought up as a member of the Church of England but I also have respect for traditional Catholic thinkers and writers such as GK Chesterton, Hilaire Belloc, Revd Denis Fahey, Revd Charles Coughlin and Bishop Richard Williamson. I also have an interest in the works of poet Roy Campbell, the well known supporter of the British Union of Fascists, who attempted a synthesis of Christianity, Nietzsche and Mithras. Furthermore, I believe in accord with the late and great Sir Oswald Mosley, that it is logical to believe in the existence of God, as the Universe is too complex to have come about by chance.

If you could direct government policy what would you do?

I would make Great Britain independent and free of International Finance and Usury, and give government the power to coin and regulate the issue of money. I would also introduce National Referenda and Direct National Democracy, giving the British people the power to decide major acts of government policy. I would end all non-European immigration except for temporary students, tourists and bone fide business visitors. Ideally the introduction of a system of voluntary and financially-assisted repatriation would reduce Britain’s non-European population, to manageable proportions. I would establish a Confederation of European Nations as a stepping stone to a future European Nation and a three-tier system of Local-Regional, National and European Government. No more bloody wars for American-Zionist interests against countries who are no threat to Britain and Europe.

What are you proud of and what do you regret?

I am immensely proud of being a father and all dads should rejoice at their wonderful and beautiful children. Regrets? Well I was once told “Forgive yourself because God has already forgiven you”, which I thought was very touching and comforting.

How would you like to be remembered?

As a good father and husband who loved his family and God.

Nothing Changes

The first fascist movement in Britain was the British Fascisti founded in 1923 by Rotha Lintorn-Orman, a remarkable woman who had driven military ambulances during WW1. She was inspired by the Italian fascists who seized power the year before under Benito Mussolini. The threat of a communist revolution was very real in Britain; the country was bankrupt and unemployment was rising. But the BFs fought the Reds and volunteered to keep essential services running during the General Strike.

In 1924 they changed their name to the British Fascists and got two councilors elected in Stamford, Lincolnshire, Arnold Leese and Henry Simpson. But the BFs were not militant enough for Arnold Leese. He called them “Tories with knobs on” and in 1928 he quit to form the Imperial Fascist League.

Leese believed in “The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion” and he accused the most unlikely people of being Jewish. These included the British Royal Family, the founder of the Turkish Republic, Kemal Ataturk, and Levi Leiter, the father of Oswald Mosley’s first wife Cynthia. In fact the Leiter family were Swiss-German Mennonites; a protestant sect that adopted Old Testament names. Leese is remembered by his followers for the quotation “All is race, there is no other truth.” But this was not his own aphorism; he copied it from Benjamin Disraeli.

In 1932 Oswald Mosley founded the British Union of Fascist which soon overtook the BFs and the IFL. Mosley wanted to unite all the fascists under the banner of the BUF, but Arnold Leese dismissed him a “kosher fascist”, and Rotha Lintorn-Orman thought that he was too much of a socialist. And so began the division of the British patriotic movement that still persists. During WW2 fascists interned under Defence Regulation 18B formed separate cliques in prison. BUF members were in the majority but there were supporters of the IFL, the British People’s Party and William Joyce’s National Socialist League. Even imprisonment without trial and the threat of execution could not unite them.

The current nationalist parties all play down their extremist past but the general public still regard them as “fascists.” We need a modern party to fight against Third World immigration and defend our interests in Europe. We need a charismatic leader and policies designed for the world today - not as it was a hundred years ago. At present there is no sign of such a party or such a leader. We can only hope that “cometh the hour cometh the man.”

Roy Chester RIP

Roy Chester was born in Monmouth in June 1942 and died of natural causes in Somerset West, South Africa in September 2012. Roy was an outstanding street corner speaker in the early 1960s. In those days, long before the Internet, soapbox meetings and literature were the only means of spreading the word. He was an active member of the original BNP and stayed loyal to John Bean when the Spearhead gang defected to the NSM.

He was a Christian Socialist who despised the Old Gang parties and the communists with equal passion. His hero was Huey Long the “Share our Wealth” Governor of Louisiana who was assassinated in 1932.

Following Colin Jordan’s Nazi rally in Trafalgar Square in 1962 patriotic meetings were regularly attacked by organized gangs of thugs. But a small group including Roy Chester, Peter McMenemie and Paul Barnes defied the Reds and the 62 Group by holding a stormy BNP meeting at Hyde Park on May Day 1965.

Roy contributed to our forerunner publication Nation in the 1970s. His reports from South Africa called for Afrikaners, Rhodesians and Portuguese to stand together. He warned that; “the loss of Mozambique will give the terrorists a direct jumping ground into the Transvaal.” But his warnings were ignored on both sides of the Limpopo. He wrote: “It goes to prove that as soon as a colony becomes an economic liability and not an asset it is dumped and all the high flown phrases about the sanctity of the homeland are forgotten.” And he concluded: “We’ll see what happens but whatever it is it won’t strengthen the position of white Southern Africa.”

Roy had a healthy contempt for pomposity. After reading an article in Combat by Raymond Bamford on “The Race Soul” he commented: “up your hole with the race soul.” AK Chesterton in a letter to John Bean was more analytical: “I read this article with fascination and wonder, pondering over each lovely sentence to savour to the full its gorgeous pseudo-intellectual meaninglessness.” (Many Shades of Black 1999).

Roy also dismissed the wishful thinking of the Pretoria regime. They claimed that Apartheid was “Separate Development” but he insisted that it was all about cheap labour. He told me in Johannesburg in 1966 that the capitalists who owned South Africa couldn’t care less if the country was run by the blacks so long as they kept the profits. The recent shooting of 34 striking miners by black cops at the Marikana platinum mine at Rustenburg has proved him right. The plutocrats who own the world care nothing for race or nation: they are only interested in money.

Roy is survived by his wife Nonie, two sons, a daughter and grandchildren spread around the world. He will be sadly missed.

Cruel Britannia

The psychological and physical torture used by Lt Col RWG “Tin Eye” Stephens at the infamous Camp 020 at Hamm Common, and other “interrogation” centres, on British Union of Fascist members and alleged enemy agents was recently revealed by Ian Cobain in his book “Cruel Britannia", published by Portobello Books.

It is clear from this superb book that those who got us involved in torture in recent year hadn’t learned from our previous visit to the dark side. I have never accepted that the British were any better or worse than the Germans in either of the two wars. I have made reference to the stepfather of a girl in knew in my teens who having been called up for the army in 1939/40 applied for training as a hangman and spent most of the war at Wandsworth Prison in south west London hanging German spies/traitors. He told me that when they were brought to him for dispatch they were, men and women alike, unrecognizable as human beings. In some cases eyes were gouged out, men’s genitals were missing and women’s nipples cut off. He said that he merely put them out of their misery. However we should console ourselves with the knowledge that our torturers were liberal minded democratic individuals and otherwise decent chaps acting for King and country and in stark contrast to the wicked fascist brutes on the other side who actually enjoyed their work. Were I to be tortured I would rather it be done by democrats than fascists and have the consolation of knowing with my dying breath that it had been done to me for the best of reasons and with the very best of intentions.

Keep on Trying

Those of us who are trying to defend European civilization do not always agree on the way forward. Some of us believe in a United States of Europe but others favour a European Confederation and some deluded souls still think Britain can go-it-alone. Some factions are committed to racial identity and others emphasize culture. There are socialists, conservatives, authoritarians and libertarians. But we agree that we should stop exporting jobs and importing cheap labour.

The established political parties have their left and right wings but they don’t constantly split. They stay together because they know that parties are essentially coalitions. No two people exactly agree with each other – unless they are political or religious zealots following a fixed agenda. Internal debate is healthy and policies have to change to suit circumstances. Policies set in stone are a sure sign of a dead or dying party.

A radical party is unlikely to come to power in the UK where the so-called “democratic” system is firmly entrenched. We are run by big business and important decisions are not made in Westminster but in the boardrooms of Wall Street or the City of London.  We are not going to stage a coup d’état or take power in an election but we can influence public opinion and governments can be swayed by lobby groups if they make enough noise.

Attitudes are changing. The popular press is still committed to NATO but it’s now respectable to be against war in the Middle East. Immigration is openly discussed and the established parties are calling for stricter controls. But the biggest change has been the criticism of global capitalism. This used to be the preserve of the lunatic fringe but now ordinary people want to regulate the banks and tax the rich.

The rise of the Internet and English-language TV stations like RT, Press TV and al-Jazera has broken the Establishment stranglehold on the news. People are more likely to read relatively unbiased agency reports on the Internet than to swallow the mendacious nonsense put out by the popular press. The rapid decline in newspaper circulation has already sunk The News of the World and the increasingly out of touch Daily Telegraph has lost nearly half of its readers since 2000 – from 1,039,749 to 578,774 (ABC). Only nine million people still read hard copy newspapers in the UK; so keep talking, keep writing and keep on trying.

It Must Never Happen Again

After years of opposition to European unity British nationalists are turning to the idea of confederation. The Swiss Confederation is a union of self-governing states with a federal parliament, a national army and a single currency; a prosperous and united country that speaks four languages and preserves the individuality of its cantons. But the Swiss model is too united for some of them.

The Europaische Aktion group is led in the UK by Richard Edmonds, the National Front candidate for the forthcoming Croydon North by-election. They call for a European League with a common foreign and defence policy but with: “the utmost freedom of cultural, educational, financial and economic policies” for member states.

The Alliance of European Nationalist Movements is a EU parliamentary group that includes Nick Griffin of the British National Party. They believe in: “The creation of a Europe of free, independent and equal nations in the framework of a confederation of sovereign states, refraining from taking decisions on matters properly taken by states themselves”.

Andrew Brons MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber has quit the BNP and now sits as an independent. His claims his defection is due to “constructive expulsion” and has nothing to do with policy. He states on the Nationalist Unity Forum: “I shall, of course, continue to promote the policies on which I was elected...”

The nationalists are clinging to the illusion of independence but their “sovereign states” equipped with national armies and national currencies would inevitably compete with each other and perpetuate ancient quarrels. There is no such thing as “nationalist unity”: far from uniting neighbouring states nationalism inevitably divides them. Nazi Germany invaded Austria and Poland and Fascist Italy invaded Albania and Greece despite the fact that they all had nationalist regimes.

Followers of Oswald Mosley and Jean Thiriart have a much grander vision of Europe. Modern writers such as; Alexander Dugin, Robert Edwards, Guillaume Faye, Constantine von Hoffmeister,  Norman Lowell, Luc Michel, Robert Steuckers and Pavel Tulaev each have their own conceptions of a European superstate stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

After fifty years of delay and hesitation the EU is finally coming together. The euro has survived a sustained attack by the rating agencies and its future is now guaranteed by the European Central Bank. The ancient ties of blood and culture that unite Europe did not stop us from fighting two fratricidal wars in the last hundred years. But now that spiritual union is protected by political and economic union we can be sure that it will never happen again. For all its faults the EU is a step in the right direction.

Who are you?

Eddy Morrison, aged 63, long-term veteran White Nationalist and founder member of the National Front.

What do you believe in?

Pure unadulterated White Nationalism. I base my beliefs on Arnold Leese’s quote “Race is the only truth.”

If you could direct government policy what would you do?

I would dismantle democracy and replace it with an Authoritarian system integrating the Corporate State theories of Oswald Mosley.

What are you proud of and what do you regret?

I am proud of my organization of the 1989 Dewsbury open air rally which gained worldwide publicity for the BNP and put it on the map. I am proud never to have deviated from my core beliefs.

I regret not staying with any one organization long enough and trying different experiments some of which were a partial success and some a failure.

How would you like to be remembered?

As a White Nationalist who made whatever contribution he could to the Cause – in speaking, writing, poetry and activism and NEVER compromising his beliefs for short-term gain.

Ben Greene

Oswald Mosley and his British Union of Fascists supporters were not the only victims of the infamous wartime Defence Regulation 18B. Others included Captain Maule Ramsay MP, Admiral Sir Barry Domville, Arnold Leese of the Imperial Fascist League, John Beckett, Ben Greene and Jack Philby of the British People’s Party, and various others. A total of 1500 men and women were held in prison or internment camps. None of them were ever charged or tried but some managed to take their cases to a tribunal known as the “Advisory Committee.”

Ben Greene (1901-1978) was the Labour Party candidate for Gravesend; a giant of a man who was a pacifist and a committed socialist. He joined the BPP to fight against the coming war and the money power behind it. Ben was a member of the multi-talented Greene family that included the writer Graham Greene, the mountaineer Raymond Greene and BBC boss Hugh Greene. He served the League of Nations as Deputy Chief Returning Officer for the Saarland Plebiscite in 1935. And he worked tirelessly for the Save the Children Fund resettling refugees from the First World War. But his distinguished career didn’t save him from detention under Regulation 18B. He was arrested in 1940 and deprived of his liberty until 1942.

He was imprisoned on the false evidence of Harald Kurtz, an MI5 agent working for the notorious spymaster Maxwell Knight who had been infiltrating fascist movements since 1923. He was released when his lawyer Oswald Hickson revealed Kurtz’s confession to the Appeal Court. He shared his lawyer with Oswald Mosley and the two detainees also shared the enmity of Home Secretary Herbert Morrison. Oswald Hickson addressed the court on his client’s behalf:

“Ben Greene is a man who is vouched for by respectable people everywhere as a thoroughly straight and honourable man. He may be a bit of a crank, but Oliver Cromwell was considered a crank when he started his political career. He may be perhaps rather difficult: at any rate he has had difficulties with members of the Labour Party who are now members of the government, and therefore you have the peculiar position that a Minister of the Crown, Mr Herbert Morrison, who is the Home Secretary now, has had political disagreements with a man who is now detained and whom he insists on detaining.”

In an ironic twist of history Ben Greene and his compatriots were locked up as suspected traitors while his cousins Elizabeth and Graham were both working for Jack Philby’s son Kim in MI6. Kim Philby was a senior British Intelligence officer but he was also a colonel in the KGB. He was part of the notorious Cambridge Five spy ring, with Donald Stuart Maclean, Guy Burgess, Anthony Blunt and John Cairncross. Burgess and Maclean fled to Moscow in 1951 and Kim Philby defected in 1963. The Queen’s art historian Sir Anthony Blunt was exposed as a traitor by Andrew Boyle’s book Climate of Treason in 1979. He was stripped of his honours but never brought before the courts.

Ben’s daughter Leslie Greene was an active member of the League of Empire Loyalist. She wrote for their magazine Candour, and she stood as an independent candidate for the safe Labour seat of North Lewisham in 1957; she got 1,487 votes - nearly 4%. And as Mrs von Goetz she was a founder member of the National Front in 1967. I remember her as a cheerful and intelligent woman who had inherited her father’s courage and determination.

The Roots of National Socialism

Rohan Butler traces the origins of National Socialism from the Romantic Movement to the rise of Adolf Hitler. An historical progression that still worries those frightened of German hegemony. The Germans are reluctant leaders of Europe but they are the largest country with the most dynamic economy. This situation was forecast 200 years ago by the economist Adam Heinrch Muller 1779-1829. He believed in monarchy and tradition but he was a visionary who could see beyond the unification of the German Empire to the union of Europe:

“The great federation of European peoples, which will come some day as sure as we live, will also bear German hues, for everything great, fundamental, and eternal in all European institutions is certainly German… The seed of German life has indeed, in these recent folk-tumults, only been extended even further and further over the ground of our continent; it will proceed in its triumphant growth, and from quite unpretentious beginnings will gradually advance to mighty effects; let its growth be left to eternal nature.”

The Nazis owed their mysticism to Richard Wagner, their philosophy to Friedrich Nietzsche, their economics to Adam Muller and their racism to Houston Steward Chamberlain. But the real father of National Socialism was Ferdinand Lassalle (1825-1864), the son of a Jewish merchant of Breslau; now known as Wroclaw. He studied philology and philosophy at the universities of Breslau and Berlin. He started his political career as a socialist with Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, but he fell out with the communists and founded the distinctly nationalistic Allgemeiner Deutsche Arbeiterverein; a socialist movement committed to the German Empire. He was imprisoned several times for revolutionary activities but he eventually became an unofficial advisor to Otto von Bismarck. Years later the Iron Chancellor was asked in the Reichstag to explain his relationship with Ferdinand Lassalle by the Social Democrat leader August Bebel. He replied:

“I saw him, and since my first conversation I have never regretted doing so… I saw him perhaps three or four times altogether. There was never the possibility of our talks taking the form of political negotiations. What could Lassalle have offered me? He had nothing behind him… But he attracted me as an individual. He was one of the most intelligent and likeable men I had ever come across. He was very ambitious and by no means a republican. He was very much a nationalist and a monarchist. His ideal was the German Empire, and there was our point of contact. As I have said he was ambitious, on a large scale, and there is perhaps room for doubt as to whether, in his eyes, the German Empire ultimately entailed the Hohenzollern or the Lassalle dynasty… Our talks lasted for hours and I was always sorry when they came to an end.”  

Ferdinand Lassalle accepted David Ricardo’s “Iron Rule of Wages” that states that employers will only pay the minimum wage necessary to attract workers. He therefore advocated state intervention to control wages and prices. He was never anti-Semitic (unlike Karl Marx) but his support for the German Empire and his passionate belief in social advancement were entirely compatible with National Socialism. He died fighting a duel with Count von Racowitza over the hand of Helene von Donniges.

Half a century after his untimely death German politics was dominated by the conservative rabble-rouser Adolf Stocker. Not to be outdone the socialist Eugen Duhring shamelessly used anti-Semitism to court the newly enfranchised workers:

“The decisive thing is not knowledge for its own sake but will, which attains its more definite goal by means of knowledge. The necessity of making an impression upon great masses limits the utility of concepts to that which can be generally understood and partly also to that which lies near at hand or can be conceived of with certainty. Theories must here be stripped of all superfluous luxury, and it essential ever time to find the natural point of contact through which they accord with the impetus of life as a whole.”

Eugen Duhring’s “point of contact” with his National Socialist followers was a belief in racial supremacy that ultimately led to their downfall.

The rabid nationalism promoted by General Friedrich von Bernhard and Friedrich Neumann led to WW1 and the collapse of the German Empire. The Spartacist revolt that followed the German surrender was put down by the free-corps and its leaders, Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht, were beaten to death. The Weimar Republic restored order but it was crippled by inflation and unemployment. Into this chaos stepped Adolf Hitler, a charismatic leader and a brilliant orator who understood the mood of the people. Unfortunately he thought that nationalism was the cure rather than the cause of his nation’s troubles.

The Germans have excelled in all human activities. They were undoubtedly guilty of war crimes but so was everybody else. The destruction of Dresden and Hamburg, the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the killing of the Polish officers in the Katyn Forest were deeds as wicked as the Holocaust. Throughout history the Germans have survived by their courage and optimism. They are a Christian nation that believes in Salvation but most of their great thinkers have been obsessed with death. The last of them was Oswald Spengler (1880-1936), author of “The Decline of the West.” In 1933 he wrote:

“A genuine international is only possible through the victory of the idea of one race over all the others, and not through the dissolution of all opinions into a colourless mass. Let us be skeptics at last and throw out the old ideologies. There are no reconciliations in real history. There is only one end to the eternal struggle, death: death of individuals, death of peoples, and death of culture. We Germans have rich unspent possibilities within us and huge tasks before us. To the international which is in irrevocable preparation we have the idea of the world-organization of the world state to give; the English that of the worldwide trust and worldwide gain; the French nothing. The real international is imperialism, domination of the Faustian civilization and consequently, of the whole earth by means of a single formative principle, not through settlement and concessions, but through victory and annihilation.”

JRR Tolkien

John Bean writes: In spite of a Sunday Telegraph sub on the Letters page ringing me up on Thursday to check my quote from Tolkien’s comments in Candour, and assuring me that the letter was to be published on Sunday – it wasn’t. Surprise, surprise. Perhaps the lining up of Mosley, Chesterton and Tolkien with condemnation of the international banking cartel was just too much for them.

Sir – Christopher Howes’s masterful unearthing of English mythology in Tolkien’s The Hobbit again suggests that those wishing to see political messages in Tolkien’s works must look beyond conventional left and right. In the fifties he was a subscriber and occasional contributor to the magazine Candour which was edited by AK Chesterton (a prewar Mosley supporter) and was the official organ of the League of Empire Loyalists. From his contributions Tolkien thought that the Dark Lord of Sauron of LOTR was an allegory of the international banking cartel.

In July 1956 he wrote this in Candour.

“There should only be one source of money, one fountainhead from which flows the nation’s blood to vitalise commerce and industry, ensure economic equity and justice and safeguard the welfare of the people….In other words, it has always been and still is our contention that the prerogative of creating and issuing money of the nation should be restored to the state.”

Editors note. The Bank of England was nationalised in 1946 but AK Chesterton and his followers were bitterly opposed to the Bretton Woods Agreement of 1944 that tied the pound to the dollar in return for an American loan of $4.33 billion ($56 billion in 2012). Most historians concede that bankrupt Britain had no choice in the matter.

Unfair to the Fuhrer

A reader has protested at my unfavourable comparison of Adolf Hitler with Napoleon Bonaparte in NR # 96 – Europe: Solidarity or Division. He has drawn my attention to the following quotation posted on the Michael Walsh website.

Hitler was the greatest statesman Europe has ever known. History will prove that when whipped up emotions have died down. He was more matter of fact, generally more unfolded than Napoleon. Napoleon was more of a vanquishing, empire-founding Frenchman than a true European. Hitler, in his being a man of his time, dreamed of an enduring, just, honest Europe, united by the initiative of the victor. A Europe however in which each ethnic group could develop according to their merits and accomplishments. The proof of this is that he offered Petain his hand. Just as Bismarck knew how to outgrow Prussia and become a German, so Hitler soon changed from being a German to being a European. At an early stage he disconnected himself from imperialistic ambition. Without any difficulty he began to think of himself as a European and initiated the creation of a Europe in which Germany – like Prussia in Bismarck’s time, was to be the foundation stone. Some comrades of the Fuhrer might still have been short-sighted Pan-Germanists. But Hitler had the genius, the right scale, the absence of bias and the necessary vision to accomplish the terrific task. He had an authority, not to be found for a second time in the history of the continent. His success would have established wealth and civilisation of Europe for centuries, probably forever. Hitler’s plans for Europe would have meant a blessing for us all.

Leon Degrelle’s glowing tribute is shocking to modern ears but it would be foolish to ignore the words of the legendary general. He was the first non-German to win the coveted Oak Leaves to his Knights Cross; awarded personally by Adolf Hitler in 1944. Hitler said that Leon Degrelle was: “the son I never had”. He was an outstanding leader of the pre-war Rexist movement; a fearless soldier on the Russian Front, and a stalwart friend of Europe after the war. When asked if he regretted anything he famously replied: “Only that we lost.”

We must acknowledge the debt we owe to the great men of history; Saint Constantine, Charlemagne, Phillip II of Spain, Peter the Great, Napoleon Bonaparte and Adolf Hitler were all pioneers of European unity. The terrible wars that they are remembered for eventually welded Europe together. They may have failed to achieve their objectives in their lifetimes but the forthcoming Imperium will be their vindication. It will reach from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from the Arctic to the Mediterranean. It will be above nationalism and beyond petty statism: it will be European.
