Bernard Franklin

My friend Eric Galati of New York asked me about Bernard Franklin. I regretfully told him that Bernard died in 2022. I don't know his exact details but he was well into his seventies.

I first met Bernard Franklin at a Friends of Mosley social about twenty tears ago. He was a great admirer of Oswald Mosley's pre-war policies.

He used to issue an uncompromising hard copy and Internet blog called The Flame. This had originally been the newspaper of the National Front but Bernard published it independently following his departure from the NF.

Bernard was a parliamentary candidate for the NF, but he fell out with the leadership and stood for the breakaway Constitutional Movement in the 1983 general election.  

A government clampdown on free speech forced nationalists to moderate their language, particularly in regard to the Money Power, but Bernard never minced his words, he wrote what he meant and he was fortunate to escape prosecution.

I salute a gentleman, a patriot and a scholar who never made a penny out of politics but spent his own money to promote the cause he believed in.

The Good Don't Realise How They Hand Power to Evil

Many Europeans look aghast at the immoral actions of their government, as British and American servicemen, in particular, are sent to attack sovereign countries where we have no right to interfere. In whose interest are these attacks, usurpation of power, and theft of national assets taking place? The answer is the secretive New World Order that wants to rule the world. Are these murderers, corrupters, warmongers, liars, cheats, thieves, destroyers of nations, cultures and civilisations really the kind of people who should be in control of Western governments and, as a result, have the ability to legislate for developing countries? The answer must certainly be no!

There are millions of good Christians who attend church every week to ensure they follow God's laws. These church-going Christians , even collectively, do not posses the power to start wars, put countries in debt or bully nations into acceding to unreasonable demands. Yet, through ignorance, it is good Christians who have voted the evil people into power. There are surprisingly some Christians who feel Satan has got so far with his programme of destruction, that he should be helped along until the situation becomes so terrible that Jesus Christ will have to take over. This makes no sense at all. We know which politicians  are following the Anti-Christ agenda and logically, it can only be those with the ability to make changes that are responsible for the destruction of the white, British nation and other countries.

The drive toward world government has created a situation where power is concentrated in very few hands. By taking charge of the West's armed forces, today's rulers can inflict carnage on a scale unimagined at the time of the English or French revolutions. The saying that "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" is very true. See how Tony Blair, George Bush, Winston Churchill, Obama, Sarkozy, May, Cameron and Boris Johnson having been elected as inappropriate national leaders, and went on to to feel they have a right to act as universal Gods, despite their characters being seriously flawed. 

According to Christian teaching we are put on earth to resist evil temptation. Then why, by voting for the major parties, has the predominately Christian public given an evil army complete control over our lives? One plausible explanation for the sudden attempt to remove certain long-established Arab leaders is that unlike Christian Europeans, they refuse to allow their people to become slaves to the banker's system of usury.

The overall effect in the West has been to pass power to the unelected 1% of greedy manipulators. They have been able to buy up 95% of broadcasting companies around the world, control public thinking, start unnecessary wars, and control world trade, while their banking system has constantly devalued money. With their multi-national corporations they have polluted our planet and been responsible for global warming. They were also the ones who created the greatest single crime in history by making the atom bomb.

Don't Neglect Those Worthy of Our Support

There are many thousands of Great Britons tirelessly working for the community without expecting payment or fame. Many do charitable work, while others try to gain some political say for the British. All of these volunteers give up their time, and spend their own money on what they consider to be vital for our collective wellbeing. If you were to sit down and write a list of what you believe should be government policy, and present it to the Committee of the local Labour, Liberal or Conservative Party, you would likely find them either dismissive or hostile. There are many honest and knowledgeable Britons who could do a far better job than politicians. But none of them would join a political party. I don't know anyone who does. One has to be very brave in Britain today to stand up for the British. Doesn't this tell you that there is something terribly wrong with the political establishment? This is good reason to support those who raise their heads above the parapet for you.

To become a teacher in a comprehensive school today one has to be prepared to instil in white children a loathing for their own race. This teaching is followed up by dangerous race-hate nonsense which suggests that to overcome an illusory racism one should take a black partner. The origin of this anti-white programme can be traced to September 1952, and is recorded in the files of the Canadian Intelligence Service. This non- military warfare states: "We will identify with the races of Asia and Africa in the interest of wiping out racial tensions," (that they created with their immigration programme) "Whites must be forbidden to mate with whites. The white woman must cohabit with members of the dark races, and white men with black women. Thus the white race will disappear, and our most dangerous enemy will become only a memory." Like fools we allow our children at school to be programmed for our own racial suicide. Schools exert too great an influence on young minds to be left in the hands of our enemies. 

1983 NF Manifesto 

I thank Colin Todd the editor of Candour for sending me a copy of the 1983 National Front Manifesto which was largely the work of Andrew Brons.

Forty years ago immigration was the main issue but the Common Market was not far behind. All of the fears and fantasies of the Brexit campaign were imagined and a golden future was promised once we broke away from the "unelected dictatorship."

The NF got carried away on the sovereignty issue:

"In order to guarantee Britain's sovereignty - in other words our control over our own affairs and destiny - we propose to withdraw from all internationalist bodies, including the United Nations, the Common Market, NATO, the International Monetary Fund and other international financial bodies."

We have now broken away from the EU but our promised sovereignty has not materialised. We still follow American foreign policy, our armed forces are under NATO command, and our credit rating is decided by S&P Global. 

Immigration from the Third World was a serious problem forty years ago but now it has increased beyond our worst nightmares. In 2023 we took in over a million people. These included Asian and African workers, refugees from Ukraine, overseas students, and Hong Kong Chinese. The last category was covered by the NF Manifesto of 1983:

"We do not believe there is any real advantage in keeping Hong British. We do not see any benefit to Britain in taking on responsibility for the inhabitants of Hong Kong when the present lease expires and the colony reverts to China. The inhabitants are almost exclusively of non-British stock. As far as we are concerned China is welcome to it."

Our membership of the old Common Market and immigration were always conflated by the NF. While it's true that we signed up to free movement of labour within the EU, we always had the right to limit Commonwealth immigration. Indeed, the latest figures show that the vast majority of immigrants came from Asia and Africa - and this is still the case.

But apart from Europe and immigration the 1983 NF Manifesto is a credit to Andrew Brons who was the NF leader at the time; a comprehensive document covering housing, education, defence, and economics. 

One of its better proposals was to use the foreign aid budget to repatriate coloured immigrants to their countries of origin.

It supported the monarchy but criticised Prince Charles who is now the King. It also called for the abolition of the House of Lords and reform of the honours system.

It opposed referendums. This was no doubt influenced by the 1975 referendum on our continued membership of the EEC which resulted in a landslide victory for the Remainers. In 1975 the mass media was pro-European but by 2016 they had changed their mind.

Unfortunately, this manifesto was issued just before a disastrous split from which the NF never really recovered. This carefully thought out document was the work of talented men whose efforts were confounded by the fatal tendency of the far-right to engage in faction fighting.

Since the demise of the old NF we have seen the rise and fall of the British National Party. This, sadly, was a repeat of the NF saga involving many of the same characters.

When there's a serious incident involving the government they appoint a court of enquiry which usually concludes that "Lessons must be learned."  The same goes for the current cohort of nationalist parties

Britain, My Nation

A new patriotic magazine called Britain, my Nation is published by Robert Baggs a former NHS manager from Wiltshire. The Feb/March issue offers 21 pages of information and comment on the nationalist scene.

"The Editor's letter outlines the need for Nationalists to unite for there to be any chance of making any ground in the political arena. Currently there are at least 16 racial and civic (often referred to as populists) nationalist parties available for us to join (there may be more so if we have missed any I am sure readers will let us know). Over the next few issues of Britain, My Nation we will look at these parties (in alphabetical order), provide social media and contact details and will compare the   policy platforms on which they stand. In this issue we will be providing a very brief history together with details of the main players in each party. I also invite the leadership of all parties listed to write to me with contributions that might help convince the readers  of this magazine that their party is the one to join."  

At a time of rising postage and printing costs a hard-copy magazine is a challenge that deserves your support.

Five Questions Answered # 26 Robert Baggs

Who are you?

I am Robert Baggs, 64 years old and retired, ex-NHS and civil service manager currently politically homeless but having been involved to varying degrees, for over 30 years in Nationalist politics, largely with the British National Party.

What do you believe in?

I believe in the British people, that they are the greatest race to have walked this planet and that despite the efforts of the seemingly ever-increasing number of those who wish to destroy us, we can be great again and openly take pride in what we have achieved and what we will achieve in the future.

If you could direct government policy, what would you do?

I would ensure that, from the earliest days in school, our people were taught about the greatness of the British people. As they progressed through all of the educational institutions, we would teach them to take pride and respect in themselves. The current brain-washing trend to belittle us in so many ways as instigated by the left, would be eradicated and we would ensure our own people were put first in all things. I would look to regenerating British industry to make our society as self-sufficient as possible. Immigration would cease and measures taken to create a workforce from our own people by increasing incentives and removing unnecessary dis-incentives. I would introduce a form of national service for 16-18 year olds that ensure that if they did not wish to follow an academic route they would gain work experience within a service that would benefit the nation e.g. the NHS.

What are you proud of and what do you regret?

Politically I am most proud of the work I was involved in with the BNP and helping, in my small way, to increase the public profile ensuring the BNP became a household name and votes for us increased. One particular highlight was acting as Master of Ceremonies at several Red, White and Blue events and addressing an audience of over 500 in a circus big top. Personally I am most proud of having raised a family with children and grandchildren for whom I want to see a safe and prosperous country and thereby ensuring their happiness.

My main regret is that I have not been as consistently active in Nationalism as I could have or should have been. I let the destruction of the BNP, at a time when we could have been riding high, affect me deeply to the extent that my trust in the Nationalist party network was shattered, not wishing to go through the same feelings of betrayal that the BNP debacle had caused.

How would you like to be remembered?

Simply by having stood up to be counted and playing my part in trying to save our country from those who despise everything British and for making a success of my latest venture into publishing a hard-copy magazine with the aim of creating some unity within the many Nationalist groups currently in existence.

Keep it Real

Too many nationalists get carried away with theoretical nonsense. They want to demolish the Bank of England and ban interest payments. But banks, nationalised or not, must charge interest to stay in business.

They also talk about deporting millions of coloured people who have settled here since the war. But the fact is that we don't have enough police or troops to round them up; we don't have enough ships or planes to carry them; and we don't have the political, military or economic power to do so.

Another of their unachievable ambitions is to massively increase the size of our military. It's almost impossible to recruit and equip modern armed forces in peacetime because the taxpayers will not stand for it.

Parties of the so-called far-right should offer the electorate simple but achievable and affordable policies. We should promise them strict control of the banking system, much tighter immigration laws, and armed forces capable of defending our islands. They have heard enough false promises from the Old Gang parties. We should not add to their misery.

Ted Budden's article 'A United Front For Europe' appraised by Ian Freeman

I am coming to agree with this, even if public opinion has shifted since the late and much missed Ted wrote it.

Brexit was for us British Nationalists, a means to an end: recreating Joseph Chamberlain's dream of Imperial Federation, essentially - a union of the White Dominions and Britain, including ideally eventually the US. That was easily doable in 1895, entirely possible in 1935, and just about possible as late as 1970.

Hence what became the NF disagreed with Mosley on this issue, I think at the time an NF Government - in hindsight a vision with Tyndall riding to No 10 on unicorn back whilst squadrons of winged porkers  flew past in salute - could perhaps still have achieved it as late as 1980. Party politics was predicated, as must be, on the assumption the party will be in power to implement it. So I think we were right then to disagree with Sir Oswald. However, the Greater Britain train has now long left the station, and we want, to use a cliche, to be the first of tomorrow, not the last of yesterday. Whether or not Mosley was right in 1948, in today's situation I suspect he would be right now.

There are many reasons to embrace a European future in 2020 if not 1950. Nationalism, moribund here, is rising in Europe. Much of Europe, notably in the East, is Whiter than much of the old White Commonwealth, which seems basically moribund to me. Europe needs to stand together against the hordes now pressing in on us from East and South.

In the post Covid-19 world, globalisation will need to be replaced with regional autarkic blocs, with movement of individuals  and eventually goods between them made as difficult as possible. No more Chinese tourists! Bojo's "Global Britain" is dead in the water now.

Britain is too small and too crowded to stand alone. We cannot feed ourselves. In theory, we could solve this by wielding the British sword to seize land for the British plough in what is now the Irish Republic - the British Isles as a whole could achieve self-sufficiency in food. However, I am not prepared to countenance White nations preying on their brother Whites in this way - Hitler was wrong (morally and, since it largely caused him to lose his war, practically) to try it in Russia and I do not want my Irish relatives ethnically cleansed or enslaved, thank you.

Europe, eventually including Russia, is a potential autarkic unit (as is Australia, North America, and Greater China - everywhere else in in trouble, I fear). Britain alone is not. The logic to me is inescapable. I feel more akin personally to Anglo-Australians, Kiwis and Canadians, but nonetheless we, and they, are culturally and racially Europeans, and we are geographically too.

I think that Europe therefore is where our destiny lies, but am open to persuasion otherwise. Thoughts?

Happy Birthday John Bean

Congratulations to my old friend John Bean who will be 93-years-old on June 7th. John was born in Carshalton, Surrey in 1927. He did his national service in the Royal Navy, worked briefly in India, and studied chemistry at the Borough Polytechnic, now the University of the South Bank. In 1974 he left London with his wife and children, his technical knowledge, and his trusty typewriter for the wilds of West Suffolk, where he spent the next 47 years earning a living. He has now retired to North Yorkshire, to be with his extended family.

In 1995 he wrote 'Ten Miles From Anywhere' which told the story of his adopted village from 1969 to 1994. For 18 of those years he was editor of the parish magazine 'The Wickhambrook Scene'. This fascinating book which really captures the rural remoteness of the area is available from Amazon.

He is better known for his 1999 political memoir 'Many Shades of Black'. An entertaining account of his career as a street corner orator, including getting 3,410 votes (9.1%) in the 1964 Southall general election. At the time it was the best election result ever achieved by a 'patriotic' candidate, and I am proud to have been part of it. 'Many Shades of Black' has become a standard reference book despite JB's occasional lapses into journalistic licence.

In recent years he wrote two historical novels; 'Blood in the Square' and 'The Trail of the Viking Finger'. They got mixed reviews, but to my mind they were not as good as his documentary works.

In 2012 I collaborated with John Bean and Arthur Kemp on the publication of 'Meaning of an Enemy' by Andrew Fountaine (1918-1997). This critical evaluation of Winston Churchill is available from: ostarapublications.com

Until recently JB's 'Nationalist Notebook' was a regular feature on the British Democratic Party website. He started writing politically in 1955 with an article in 'Nationalist Unity' warning of the dangers of uncontrolled immigration: 

With the possible exception of the harnessing of nuclear energy for weapons of war, the political awakening of the Coloured races of Africa and Asia is transcending all other socio-political problems of this age. Accompanying this awakening, is the gradual infiltration of Europe - Britain and France in particular - by Coloured peoples.

Should Western opinion continue to face this problem with the old concept of 'equality of man', it will not be long before Europe as a racial entity ceases to exist, and with it the highly-developed civilisation that Europe has given the world.

Here in Britain we are made daily aware of the increasing resistance that this Coloured influx is meeting, whether it be from busmen or hospital workers who are striking because they fear that the standards their Trade Unions have obtained for them will be undermined by Coloured labour, or from hotel landlords who reserve rooms for White customers only - as the writer has seen done in reverse in hotels and clubs in India.

Whilst this paper opposes the belief that all men are equal, we do not on the other hand contend that biologically any one race is superior to another. The fact is we are all different.

If we are to conserve our country as a European nation, all further Coloured immigration - except for genuine students - must be halted now before its too late. There is little point in creating a race problem where one does not exist.

The Alternative

Since the collapse  of the Soviet Union the Russian Federation has adopted a free market economy, and China has embraced capitalism with enthusiasm. The United States is a superpower with enough nuclear weapons to destroy the planet, and Europe and Japan are its faithful allies.

The global economy was recovering from the financial disaster of 2008 when the banks sold each other so many worthless mortgages that they ran out of money. Stricter banking regulations and fiscal policies resulted in steady growth and stability. But this has been shattered by a coronavirus pandemic that has killed thousands of people and wrecked the global economy. Governments all over the world are spending billions of dollars in rescue operations, but every penny will have to be paid back by the taxpayers. Our world has been turned upside down and we can only hope that it soon gets back to normal.

The global capitalist system will take a battering but it will survive. Human nature never changes; the love of money is the root of all evil and until we adopt an equitable political system, the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. But if we move towards a self-sufficient geopolitical system, as first proposed by Oswald Mosley in 'The Alternative' in 1948, we can avoid the worst excesses of capitalism. Mosley envisaged a new order arising from the ruins of the Second World War. Our situation today is almost as grave as it was then, but we have the expertise and the resources to build a better world; all we lack is the will to do it.

Red Terror and The Communist Technique in Britain

Robert Best's booklet 'Red Terror' charts the bloody history of the Soviet Union from the Bolshevik Revolution to the Second World War. We must never forget the atrocities committed by Joseph Stalin in this time of revolution and war, but his speech to the Communist Party Congress in 1929 explains his motivation. He was convinced that Germany would attack the Soviet Union and he was determined to be ready for them: 

"We are 50-100 years behind the advanced countries. We must make good this distance in ten years. Either we do it or they crush us."

To achieve his objective he crushed liberty and condemned thousands to death, but his brutality had nothing to do with Karl Marx who was a middle-class German journalist who never killed anyone. Stalin modernized the Soviet Union, defeated Nazi Germany, conquered half of Europe, and began the program that put the first man into space.

Apart from Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin, most of the Bolshevik leaders were Jews, but instead of sticking together they turned on each other. Best records that:

"Trotsky was assassinated in Mexico on the orders of Stalin, Zinoviev was executed by Yagoda, Yagoda was purged by Beria."

'The Communist Technique in Britain' by Bob Darke was published in 1952 at the height of the Cold War. He was an East London bus conductor and an active member of the Communist Party who became a Hackney councillor. He describes the strategy of the Party in the 1940s which used the trade union movement to further its aims. Darke never departed from his socialist convictions but he despaired of the devious tricks of his comrades, who would do almost anything for the Cause. Today, the Communist Party has been replaced by several ineffectual left-wing parties but in 1952 it was force to be reckoned with. Bob Darke explained why he wrote the book:

"I have not written this book because I wish to raise the pile of ex-Communist literature by another inch or two. I have written it in an attempt to get home to my fellow trade unionists the extent to which their interests and their rights are being shamelessly betrayed by the Communist Party.

No country in the world has a greater right to be proud of its working class and trade union history than has Britain. We have built up a movement which is based on man's right to be heard and represented in whatever way he chooses, a movement which is based on man's fundamental belief in the decency of his neighbour.

Communism will replace this with a society based on man's fundamental fear of his neighbour.

Freedom of conscience and will is an inheritance we take too lightly, even after the Nazi war. We are in danger of having it taken away from us as much by the extreme anti-Communists as by the Communists themselves."

Jeffrey Hamm Speech to Colin Jordan's Birmingham Nationalist Club - from 'Union' January 1951

(The divide between British nationalism and European unity dates back to the immediate postwar years. Jeffrey Hamm knew Colin Jordan from his British League of Ex-Servicemen and Women which was one of the groups that formed Union Movement).

On the evening of Wednesday 17th January, members of the Birmingham Nationalist Club were addressed by Jeffrey Hamm of Union Movement (with the club's organiser Mr JCC Jordan in the chair).

Hamm opened his address by suggesting that although members of the club might not be prepared to accept European Union as the alternative to internationalism, they would at least agree with him in his condemnation of the international system. He proceeded to recall the widespread unemployment which had been caused in pre-war Britain by the activities of International Finance, which had been free to exploit the East and to flood Britain with produce of Oriental sweated labour. The natural reaction to this had been the emergence of the nationalist movement of British Union, which under the leadership of Oswald Mosley had advocated the development of Britain and of the British Empire as a self-contained unit.

Anti-European Nationalism Obsolete

In foreign policy, the speaker continued, the internationalists had disarmed Britain dangerously and then dragged our country and our people into a war which was not in our interests. British Union had advanced the nationalist policy of making Britain strong enough to defend herself against any country in the world and had advocated withdrawal from European entanglements in order to concentrate on the development of Britain and the British Empire.

Today, the speaker suggested, anti-European nationalism was obsolete. No longer could "the former British Empire" be economically independent while, in the age of the rocket and the atom bomb, we could not shut our eyes to the danger of Europe being overrun by Communism from the East. We should, therefore advance beyond our pre-war nationalism to the new idea of "Europe a Nation".

Hamm said he sympathised with the nationalists in the desire to see an independent Britain arise again, but if they were realists they would agree that she could not do so as an isolated unit. The world today is dominated by the two forces of American Capitalism and Soviet Communism. It was, therefore, necessary, if we were to regain our independence, for us to create a "Third Force". That force was Europe, united as one nation in a common faith and idea.

Europe united could save the peace and win back the lands seized by the Soviet Union. Then, by turning to Africa, we could win our own foodstuffs and raw materials and thus regain our economic independence.

The speaker dealt with a number of questions covering many aspects of Union Movement policy, and it is hoped that as a result of this meeting several of the Birmingham Nationalists Club will have advanced beyond their nationalism to the new conception of "Europe a Nation".

The educational system and virtually everything else was messed up with the 1960's cultural revolution. I had a first class A stream Secondary Modern Education leaving school in the Summer of 1958. Two years later the school was closed. The massive well equipped science lab was removed along with well equipped large metalwork and woodwork shop. Fabians, Zionists and Freemasons had taken control of teacher training. A new breed of delinquent Marxists, do as you like teacher were ready to send into schools, with the result that the first class old teachers left in disgust.

Since then we have regularly seen in newspaper reports of our children leaving school barely able to read, write or do simple mathematics. Parliament will not do anything about it as it changed education to suit their nation-wrecking programme. Just as they refuse to listen when we complain about fluoride being added to the water supply when it causes a reduction in the thinking ability and causes cancer. Cameron's Chaos

Dave Cameron has gone off to write his memoirs, leaving our country in a state of chaos. He was one of the worst prime ministers in British history. He picked a fight with the EU to appease the right wing of the Tory Party, but he got nowhere with Brussels so he called a referendum. 'The People', led by the popular press and pissed-off by ten years of austerity, voted to leave the EU, but there was no plan for such a decision and after years of argument we are due to leave the EU on 31st March unless Brexit is delayed or abandoned.

Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees-Mogg predict a Brexit boom but the Governor of the Bank of England is less optimistic, and to add to the confusion the our withdrawal is led by Theresa May who voted to remain in the EU.

Leaving the EU is a momentous decision but whatever happens, we will still have an unbalanced economy, a divided society, a housing crisis, a staggering national debt, cash-strapped armed forces, a National Health Service dependant on foreign labour, and an educational system that impoverishes students. None of these problems will be helped by Brexit, they all require the sort of political action that our politicians are incapable of delivering.

Fascism today is just a political insult but in 1922 it was a populist revolution that swept Benito Mussolini to power in Italy. At first, the regime was content to govern but by the time of the Italian Social Republic, it had developed a full range of progressive policies; a guaranteed minimum wage,, workers' partnership, free education, and social security from the cradle to the grave. These ideals were enshrined in the constitution of the RSI. Unfortunately, by then it was too late.

The post-war Labour government introduced the National Health Service but by the time of the Korean War, it dropped some services to save money. That's why opticians, chiropodists, and most dentists are outside of the system. The present Tory government loudly proclaims its support for the NHS but suspicions remain that they want to sell it off to the private health care providers and insurance companies. At present, the NHS is protected by legislation but the Tory desire for a trade deal with the United States could open the door to American competition. 

The Welfare State costs money that the Tories would rather spend on royal weddings, aircraft carriers and nuclear missiles. But the rise in homelessness and the use of food banks is a national disgrace. The main parties have acknowledged the problem but at the moment they are preoccupied with Brexit. Perhaps the splits now tearing the old parties apart are the start of a realignment of politics. We can only hope so because social justice is not an impossible dream. 

Donald Trump equates health care with Communism. He thinks that everybody should pay for their own doctors. But the sick and the unemployed can't afford expensive medical insurance. As fair-minded Europeans, we must reject Trump's selfishness and defend our NHS. 

Oil

It is fashionable to criticise the banks but the oil companies are just as bad. In his autobiography, 'Pantaraxia', Nubar Gulbenkian tells how his oil billionaire father took him to lunch in New York while he was on holiday. The first day they were treated royally, and as they left the restaurant Calouste told his son, "I've got a million dollars in that bank." The second day was just as good and as they left daddy told him that he had a million dollars in that bank. And so it went on with all the major American banks. On the last day, after a sumptuous lunch his father said nothing, so Nulbar asked him: "how much have you got in their bank daddy?", he replied: "not a cent, I owe them a million dollars."
  

Debtors without collateral are written off but those with assets are treated as valued customers. And its the same with countries. Venezuela is bankrupt and its people are starving but they are sitting on one of the world's biggest oilfields. It's only a matter of time before a consortium of banks and oil companies takes over the country. Venezuela tried to install a socialist system under Hugo Chavez but the experiment was ruined by the collapse of oil prices.

But Venezuela is not the first state to be taken over by the oil companies. Britain controlled Iran through the Anglo-Persian Oil Company and when prime minister Mohammad Mosaddegh (pictured) tried to nationalise it in 1953 he was ousted in a coup mounted by the CIA. The Shah was installed as a Western puppet but when he showed signs of independence in 1979, he was overthrown by Ayatollah Khomeini who had been given refuge by France. Currently, Iran is being strangled by American sanctions. 

President Trump has reneged on his agreement to lift sanctions against Iran in return for them scrapping nuclear weapons. Iran is no threat to the US but her armed forces are engaged in Syria and Yemen.
 
Calouste Gulbenkian was known as Mr Ten Percent because creamed-off 10% of all the oil traded in the British Empire. Today, more countries are producing oil and Britain and America no longer dominate the market. Oil will run out one day but the producers are already investing in alternative energy. People all over the world think that their fates are decided by the illiterate crosses they put on ballot papers, but the important decisions are made in the boardrooms of the big oil corporations.

Oil dominates the economies of the Western nations and influences their foreign policies. Russia is accused of being too authoritarian and aggressive but her real crime is to be a major oil producer.  

Jimmy Miller

I first met my friend Jimmy Miller in 1983 when I moved back to South London. He was living in a council flat awarded to him by Lambeth Council. But a highly organised gang of middle-class squatters was occupying all the vacant flats in the area and forcing out the working-class tenants. They only wanted their own kind to be housed. Jimmy was having none of that and he defended himself vigorously, only to be arrested and evicted for his bravery.

Jimmy was born in Liverpool in the Thirties. I don't know exactly how old he was but he was older than me. He served in the Royal Corps of Signals and he took part in the defence of Kuwait in 1961. General Qasim of Iraq massed his forces on the Kuwaiti border ready to invade The British rushed 7,000 troops to Kuwait and broadcast bogus messages indicating a massive military build-up. Qasim fell for the deception and promptly withdrew his forces.

After the army Jimmy worked as a painter at the giant Cammell Laird shipyard. There he was elected as a shop steward representing the painters. Most of the union officials were communists who put up posters of Marx and Lenin on their office walls. Not to be outdone Jimmy put up a poster of Adolf Hitler and defied anyone to touch it.

After leaving Liverpool, he worked all over the country renovating Woolworth's stores and eventually got a job as a maintenance man at Bon Marche in Brixton. For all his National Socialist convictions Jimmy got on well with the West Indian community. He always used to say that its the politicians who are to blame not the immigrants.

He moved back to Liverpool when he retired but he always sent me a Christmas card and a calendar. He was suffering from Parkinson's and his handwriting grew more erratic each year, but this year his package did not arrive at all and I guess that he has passed away.

Jimmy Miller was a brave, intelligent, and generous man. He was raised as a Catholic but in later life, he was attracted to the Salvation Army. And that's how I picture him, to the words of the anthem, "Onward Christian Soldiers marching on to war."

Assassination 

Government agents and terrorists regularly kill each other. Recent murders by the Russians and the Saudis have been roundly condemned by the West but we have a long and distinguished history of political assassination. Britain's most famous hit happened on 4th June 1942 when two Special Operations Executive officers, Josef Cabcik and Jan Kubis, shot dead Richard Heydrich the Deputy Protector of Bohemia and Moravia. Nazi reprisals were expected but the British government did not know that the town of Lidice would be destroyed together with thousands of civilians. 

The Nazi reaction was as cruel as the British treatment of dissidents in India. In April 1919, following days of rioting in which four Europeans were killed, Brig Gen Dyer (pictured) ordered his men to open fire on an unarmed crowd of protesters, 379 were killed and 1,200 wounded. The Amritsar atrocity was more mass murder than assassination but it showed the world who was in charge of India; at least, for the next thirty years.

Throughout the Northern Ireland Troubles, IRA terrorists were shot by Protestant paramilitaries on information supplied by MI5. Sometimes the government acted in the other direction. Lenny Murphy, the Protestant terrorists known as the Shankhill Butcher, was killed because he had become an embarrassment.  

Our fictitious national hero, James Bond has a licence to kill. Commander Bond 007 was an invention but his creator, Ian Fleming, was a British agent who understood how these things are done.

Our American allies shot dead Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan in 2011. American Special Forces killed him and dumped his body in the sea. His death was announced by President Obama who welcomed the death of the leader of Al-Qaeda.

It seems that bumping off political opponents is not necessarily a crime. When we kill our enemies we are fulfilling the will of the people, but when authoritarian foreign governments kill their opponents they are acting like savages.The truth is that all governments conduct under-cover operations and no individual government has the right to give lectures on good behaviour.

Mosley on Race, from "Union" May 1948

When Oswald Mosley wrote this article in 1948 it would have been possible to send back recently-arrived West Indian workers. Today things are different. We can enforce our rules of entry and deport foreign criminals but a mass round up of immigrants is out of the question. 

Race is the first reality of European Unity. This unique stock of men in Europe has, in fact, produced the culture, the values and the achievements of the West. This race, in their family of Europe, has produced most things that matter on this globe. This achievement has been the result of their character, which in turn was the result of their race.

Horses go further and faster than donkeys because they are horses and not donkeys. We cannot avoid the basic facts of nature, even if we would. Nor can we drown them beneath a verbiage of words. If we are to build then surely we must build on real foundations, and I know that we do.

Therefore, I affirm the fact that the first reality and rock foundation of European Union is Race! Who are our nearest kindred? The answer is the German people. The British and the Germans are the most closely related of all European peoples. The Northern French also belong to this close circle of Race or Family and were united with the Germans under Charlemagne.

Near in blood to us, and the Germans, are the whole Northern block of Sweden, Norway and Denmark. A related stock is also the great family of the Latin nations, whose culture has adorned the illuminated pages of European history. 

You cannot deny nature; you cannot create in defiance of reality.

An Alternative View - Bernard Franklyn

Since the early 1950s, every aspect of our once great country has been destroyed. Only old age pensioners in their seventies, like myself, are aware of the changes that have been made. When we are gone there will be no one left to explain what we have lost to the younger generation. I feel that we need to urge OAP's to become vocal, but that is hard work. Still, I am going to urge more of my generation to explain the situation to their children and grandchildren. My daughter and her husband both work but are unable to keep up with the bills. In the 1950s wives didn't work, the families were able to survive and pay all the bills on the husband's wage. In the 1950s and '60s, virtually everyone could afford a mortgage so long as you were a regular saver. In 1958 a terraced house in the suburbs of London would have sold for £10,000; today it would be £500,000. The house would not be worth any more, that is how our fraudulent governments have reduced the value of money by just creating it out of thin air. Parliament is run by our enemies and has been throughout my life. The time is long overdue to find our own BRITISH candidates who have the knowledge and skills to run the country. You need no qualifications to or knowledge a prime or cabinet minister. You only have to be subservient to political Mafia that really rules our country, nay the world.

The people of Europe have no control over the EU. It is an ever growing nightmare with even more power over its people than the Soviet Union had. If the public had elected the National Front in the 1960s we wouldn't have joined the EEC which became the EU, we could have saved what was left of our manufacturing industry, we wouldn't have allowed the standard of education to be lowered through the introduction of the comprehensive system, there would have been no mass immigration programme, anti-British Jews wouldn't have been appointed to the senior positions of the judiciary, proper sentencing of murderers and criminals would have continued, the drug problem would not have escalated like it has, there would be no national debt as we would have created interest free banking which the EU would never allow.

Britain was extremely successful at managing its own affairs long before the EU was thought of. We will manage again, so long as we have a government that doesn't want to keep us tied to the United States, Israel and the EU.
